I have nothing bad to say about bootcamp itself, program is great, instructors knowledgeable and it truly gives you a good base to land your first job. But I have something to say about my post bootcamp experience. After bootcamp ended, the so called... Read More after bootcamp part started. We had an instructor who supposed to give us more depth into JS and prepared for tech interview. The person who was running these classes wasn’t prepared most of the times, this person was reading her slides and couldn’t answer any technical questions. Most of my cohort mates ended up skipping it. I had a very bad experience with their marketing team. Don’t believe reports you see online. I was asked to be included into their promotional materials when I got a freelance low paid part-time gig (when the end goal is to get a fulltime job), but they really wanted to get their numbers up. I asked not to be included as I found it misleading, and as the result they never included me anywhere even when I landed a full-time job (I think I’m still under “hire me” section on their website), and I also have been excluded from all communications with the school. It hurts a bit, because community is amazing, but I guess you should keep your mouth shut and think what you’re saying there.

The Web Development Course with Juno College was a a great learning experience. Due to COVID I lost my job as an editorial graphic designer, and I had very little front end development knowledge. My instructor, the program and resources were an excellent support structure, and I am now comfortable coding HTML and CSS. I've used all the course notes to reinforce what I learned in the program, and am now continuing at Juno with JavaScript course and the Web Dev Bootcamp. I can't recommend this course highly enough if you are looking to get a solid grasp on Front End development foundations.

The learning experience is very engaging and interactive because of the course Instructors - Owen was our main instructor along with helpful mentors. Owen is very engaging, he knows how to get students excited and explains concepts very well. Even CSS was pretty much a breath when we did in-class exercises together. The whole class was via Zoom and Slack where you can type your questions or answers or just for some emojji fun :) I would highly recommend it to someone who really wants to learn but want some structure and support while doing it. It is a solid foundation for further learning - whether you want to continue down the web development route or learn Wordpress or become a Front-End developer! Juno has it all, fyi. What made the course special were attentive and very friendly, kind instructors, additional office hours at the beginning and end of class, and 2 projects, which were challenging but doable! I thoroughly enjoyed it :) *disclaimer: I am currently an employee at Juno but I took the course out of my own curiosity and in order to understand better what students are experiencing. The pros of learning from Juno College is definitely the people! They probably have the best people in place to make your learning experience not only spectacular but fun and enjoyable. If you are to read any review, I promise you this is the only one... Read More you need to read. They had time outside class to help students who are struggling and went above in beyond in their attempt to make this one of the best learning experiences possible. The only con is that there isn’t one, so it sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t.

I was impressed with the experience I received especially since it was all conducted online due to COVID. Initially I wasn't sure what to expect or if learning online would work for me but it ended up being quite convenient! I was able to follow along... Read More and to ask questions when necessary. The teachers are patient, knowledgeable and genuinely fun individuals. At the end, I couldn't believe how much I had learned in such a short time and more than that, how much I had retained thanks to the well planned lessons. Thanks, Juno!

This was my first Juno experience. I was very eager to learn the fundamentals of data science and storytelling, right as the course was set to begin covid hit and we moved to online learning. I think I could have benefitted from learning in class however... Read More the professor was very good at answering questions and providing question and answer sessions before class. I thoroughly enjoyed this course, I do think I could have benefitted from taking a coding class or learning coding fundamentals before this course there was a bit of programming I had never experienced before. The data analysis and storytelling were for sure my favorite part as well as the presentations and learning and seeing other people's presentations. Would definitely recommend this course!
