I never imagined myself learning IT, and it seemed too good to be true—until I started watching their interviews with people like me who had no background in it. I talked to one of their Enrollment Advisors who answered all my questions, especially in terms of the financial aspect, I was relieved after we talked because I know this is it for me. It’s my beginning, I told myself that from here onwards I will focus myself into learning and honing my skills in IT. It helps that the environment inside Yellow Tail Tech is really great. The structure and the way the lessons were handed down to us was so good. We started with the basics because the majority of us don’t have an IT background. It was amazing because the teacher’s were also like us, before teaching to Yellow Tail Tech and learning Linux they also did not have any IT background some of our instructors graduated from Yellow Tail Tech so it really helped us become more confident. Most of them have their daytime jobs where they work from home and teach at night and I want that for me too. Now that I'm working from home as a Linux System Administrator, life is amazing! I said I wanna teach at night as well but for now I wanted to enjoy my freedom of working remotely anywhere around the globe. It’s the best! Yellow Tail Tech, rocks!

The instructors at Yellow Tail Tech are very hands-on in teaching us, but we also have to put in the work. All you have to do is just read the material and practice it, and that's it. But again you have to put in the work. The more that they teach me, the more willing I am to learn. I got to hold myself back from just going out and buying new stuff, and trying new stuff because I'm learning all these other things. But I just got to take it slow, get one thing down, and then see where I want to venture from there.

It's not easy to balance my work with my family and personal life. Because of that, I'm stuck in life, feeling like I don't have enough time for myself. The community of students is also amazing; we really feel like a family when we are there together learning together. The best part about learning at Yellow Tail Tech is that they understand how busy you can get as a working professional. One day I saw an ad for Yellow Tail Tech, and I was curious about what their courses are all about so I went there to check it out. I thought to myself this might be a scam so I looked it up in the course report and career karma but they seem legit so I just had a random idea to talk to an Enrollment Advisor. Fast-forward to my talk with the Enrollment Advisor I found myself enrolling in the Linux for Jobs program. It started with a kickoff where all the students were welcomed by Jubee - to be honest it was quite intimidating especially not having an IT background but when the classes started the instructors were very good at explaining everything. The best thing about Yellow Tail Tech is that they put their students through more hands-on training than other companies do, they teach you exactly what you need to know in order to pass the certification exam. It was amazing because I just took the exam once and passed. It made me proud of myself. Now I am preparing for my job interviews and they’ve really helped me optimize my LinkedIn account, and assisted me in making my resume. Yesterday I had mock interviews and it was amazing. The best thing about Yellow Tail Tech is that they really have the passion to help their students. I’ve felt it every time I’m in class or whenever I’ve had lessons that are hard and I need to ask not just one but a lot of questions and my instructors are always eager to help. It’s quite challenging on my part because I came from a different career background which is in deliveries. The great thing about Yellow Tail Tech is that they will help you every step of the way. You won’t feel neglected because you can message anyone - instructors and classmates freely whenever you need them. It’s very convenient especially if you miss one or two classes. The program was challenging but your preparation and persistent hard work will lead to success. I also like that we have not just one, not just two but 4 instructors and teacher assistants. Allan was our lead instructor but he has Teacher Assistants too and I love Yellow Tail tech for that. The way they handled my weekly classes and review sessions was awesome, honestly it would be hard for anyone to fail this program because everything is given to you in a very wholesome way.
