The Tech Academy is very good at giving you a general overview of the information you sign up for. Like they say throughout the course they can't teach you everything but you do learn a lot in a short period of time which of course you will forget some... Read More of. Basically know what level of education you want before you sign up and do some research. Besides that, the staff are very helpful and listen to most problems you have. Some parts required me to look for outside help to finish but, that's something most people in tech careers will go though. Basically, know what you're signing up for and putting a lot of time and effort into it and you get what you want in the end.

I decided to take advantage and do the... Read More Python BootCamp full time while I had the time. All I can say is WOW! The Learning system that Eric and his partner came up with included videos, challenges and stories to help me learn what I needed. I was taught not only to code but so much more to be a part of the IT industry and to become a developer. The instructors are very helpful and always willing to help you by phone, email, or even google meet so they can look over your code in real time. They definitely hold you accountable for getting work your classes done in a timely manner but encourage you to reach out for help if you get stuck and cannot figure it out on your own. The job placement course is great as well and they are ready to help you get a job in every way but actually doing the work (which is on you!) Would recommend!

You will be challenged to learn in a way that supports your future in the industry, with patient and knowledgeable instructors to help along the way. Going into this bootcamp I was a bit skeptical as to how anyone with no experience writing code could become a full stack software developer in 15 weeks. However, I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. The bootcamp is designed with the idea in... Read More mind that anyone with no computer experience could come in and easily learn the material. With that being said, the bootcamp is still rigorous and challenges you to think like a programmer so you can function independently in the industry. The curriculum is second to none. Every section is carefully thought out with an increasing level of difficulty. You start out the camp learning the basics of IT and you gradually move on to more difficult topics. I liked that because it gives you a chance to “get your feet wet” instead of overwhelming you with difficult material early on. I also like how they set the curriculum up in a way that in each new section you always build upon what you learned in the last section so it’s never a good idea to skip around. I also liked that at the end of some sections there was an encouragement video that congratulated you for finishing the section and motivated you to continue on. Some sections are kinda hard and those words of encouragement gets you through. The instructors are awesome. They respond super fast and most importantly, they make you feel like no question is a dumb question. I’ll admit I asked Jordan and Ben so many questions and they were never irritated and they were always there. There was a time where I got stuck on a section for a period of time and was unsure of myself and capabilities and they were there to encourage me to keep going. I didn’t get a chance to thank them and I hope they see this review. The Job Assistance department is also great. Angelo, Samantha, and Tony are very good mentors who will consistently push you to bring out the best in you. They gave me a lot of good advice on how to set my resume up and how to interview. I posted my resume up on a couple job boards and got a handful of calls before I even started filling out job applications which was really exciting. They're really great at finding job leads and they always check in on you to see how things are going. In conclusion, my overall experience was great. However, I wanna say that you get what you put into this bootcamp. My BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE for anyone considering The Tech Academy is that if you cannot commit at least 40hrs a week to your studies, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you pick the PART TIME camp. The full time camp was created with the expectation that you will dedicate 8hrs a day. It is very easy to fall behind. Also, if you have any questions don’t be afraid to reach out to an instructor. They are around to help.

Read More manage your resume, portfolio, and LinkedIn profile. You will learn how to interview in tech, just what to do, what to say, and how to act. Moreover, you will be personally assigned a member of their fantastic job placement team. This person will teach you, motivate you, and hold your hand throughout the entire search process until you land your first job. I cannot overstate the value of this.

But don't think that's all there is to the Tech Academy. By the time you make it to the Job Placement Course, you will be equipped with all the necessary tools to perform your job as a junior developer. The entire program is geared toward just that end. It will supply you with a full battery of computer languages, front end to back , along with the necessary skills of version control and program management, without which your language skills are useless in a real programming job. But most importantly, the Tech Academy will teach you how to think like a programmer.

This boot camp was fantastic. It starts you off just clearing up a ton of technical terms that without them you would be lost. Most courses I've seen elsewhere just have you start coding right off the bat. This one gives you all the data you need so by... Read More the time you start coding you actually get what you're doing. Having that foundation makes writing code so much easier. I learned so much going through the different courses but the Live Project at the end was what brought my certainty in. I learned so much leading up to it but when I did the Live Project I really felt like I could use it and actually work with a team to get create something. It remind me of what I knew and with the foundation I had I was able to learn more about handling the task in front of me. The instructors were extremely helpful and were always around to help me as soon as I needed it. The job placement team was also awesome. They were with me every step of the way. If you're looking for one, I 100% suggest you do this boot camp.

I really have nothing but good things to say about my whole Software Developer boot camp experience! My favorite part was the live project, it was an excellent simulation on what software developer life could be like and the live project instructors are excellent at pointing you in the right direction when you need them. I chose this particular boot camp as it was the robust considering the material, and with starting from the most fundamental of lessons, I truly feel I am well prepared to contribute as a junior software developer. One of the other aspects as to why I chose this boot camp over the others, was the support they offer during the job search. I learned valuable skills that won't just start me out, but that I'll be utilizing as I travel throughout different career pursuits.
