All of our courses and programs are project-based, ensuring that students have the opportunity to apply everything they learn in practical ways, resulting in projects they can showcase in their portfolios.
Along the way, all of our students receive individualized mentoring and support from their personal mentor and tutor, as well as from our dedicated team of student advisors and career specialists—and the support doesn’t stop there. We have an extensive network of students and graduates who share resources, ideas, and support during their studies and well beyond graduation.
CareerFoundry’s curriculum is thoroughly researched and written in-house by our own curriculum designers and editors who collaborate with subject matter experts to create a rigorous, project-based, and adaptive curriculum that empowers students to acquire all the job-ready skills they’ll need to break into their new career.
CareerFoundry offers full programs in UX design, UI design, web development, and data analytics, as well as individual introductory courses and specializations for qualified designers in frontend development, UI design (for UX designers), and voice user interface design.
No previous experience is required. Prospective students can simply talk to a CareerFoundry advisor about their background and motivations to see which courses or programs are the best fit.

"Got a job after 6 months!!"
The title speaks for itself. I researched many different schools and bootcamps, but having a wife and a baby on the way, I needed something I could do from the comfort of my own home. I also wanted someone to keep me accountable, and then I found Career... Read More

"Career Foundry helped me learn UX design!!"
Great course in UX design. I can't think of a better value although their price has seemed to have gone up since I took the course. I can't say enough great things about my mentor. This course is pretty challenging and time consuming. I would only recommend... Read More

"Satisfied Web Development Graduate"
I chose the Web Development track for CareerFoundry on the reccomendation of my friend, who took the UX design course (and got an internship, and then 70k a year job shortly after). It's a 6 month track and it took me just over 4 months to do it, even... Read More
My mentor was available from 7pm-11pm every day, and was incredibly helpful. He gave me a lot of help on his own, sometimes stayed a little later than his shift to help me, and he taught me a lot. However, he also taught me the importance of being resourceful and looking stuff up on my own.
I'm not sure that "just taking the course" will get you a job- but nonetheless, neither will "going to college." However, without the structure of the course to help me, I don't think I would have been as sucessful with my learning. You essentially build two websites for the course, both of which can be used as "portfolio projects" to apply for a job. The course doesn't focus on javascript and algorithms and things like that as much as it could have, so that's really what my next step has to be.
Another important aspect to CareerFoundry is the Slack community and the networking opportunity it presents. And when your mentor isn't available and StackOverflow doesn't seem to be able to answer your question, you can likely get an answer on there. Their customer service and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and genuinely want you to succeed. While they don't seem to have the resources to be able to do direct job placement, they do provide other advice to students. Personally, I feel like I could maybe apply for jobs now and be successful, but want to learn a bit more. If I didn't take this course and just tried to learn unguided and compiling other resources together, I'm not sure I would have been as motivated in successful in my endeavors.
While I have yet to land a job, I believe that this was a great investment of $1,500 and the boost I need- I couldn't quit my job and go do a $15,000 bootcamp. This is affordable, you learn a lot and I would recommend it to anyone.
Suggestions: They have a few "optional projects" like a calculator in JavaScript that you can make or a rails "to-do" app and give you suggestions on how to make them. In my opinion, they could add a few more of these, as it wouldn't require much staffing on their part but really help their students.

"Know nothing about coding? This course will teach you."
I researched a lot of the bootcamps out there, online and onsite, and chose CareerFoundry because of the cost and mentorship available. I don't think there are a lot of courses that offer mentors that are available five days of the week - especially at... Read More
Once I started the course, I found the exercises informative and especially relevant and helpful in completing the tasks. For me, one of the biggest draws to programming is the available community and willingness to help each other out. I saw that in this course as there was an dedicated and active online community just for CareerFoundry students and one on one feedback from the mentor on every exercise.
I liked the course because it was project-based - I ended up creating a personal portfolio website and a fully functional e-commere website that I can sell products/services. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in dipping into web development, but don't know where to start. No single bootcamp can fully prepare you to get a job right after graduating (it's all about how hard you work on your own afterwards), but the best you can hope for is to end up with a good foundation in web development and you'll find that in this CareerFoundry course.

"Program could be better, lots more career support needed."
I had been looking for a way to get back into IT after being out of it for quite a few years. After researching numerous other online bootcamps, I chose CareerFoundry. At first, I liked the idea of working with a mentor, and I also liked how all of the... Read More
After breezing through the HTML/CSS portion (which I already had experience in), I moved into the Ruby on Rails portion. Since I'm a PC user, it was rather disheartening to see instructions for installing RoR in nice detail for Mac users, and PC users only got a brief tutorial. Also, some of the exercises were rather vague, with instructions such as "read this tutorial to install this gem. If you have problems, consult StackOverflow.". I ended up going to Google for a lot of questions I had. Most of the content featured in the courses can be learned by watching YouTube videos.
I began to grow unsatisfied with the program because there is a SERIOUS lack of career support. The forums have a "career" section, but the majority of the jobs posted are for UX/UI jobs in Europe. I understand this company is based out of Berlin, but there are numerous students from the US (myself included) that would have appreciated some US-based support. I didn't fully complete the course (I completed enough to be considered a "graduate") because I felt that there was no way I was going to be "job-ready" in 3-6 months as they claim, and since there is no demand for RoR programmers in my area, I've had to turn my focus to C#/ASP.NET/Java to become hireable.
If you are looking for a freelance web developer position or a UX/UI position, this program may help, as it seems like that's what CF ultimately leans toward. If you're looking for a regular web-developer position, be forewarned. This program has some good features, and the nice stories they post about "going from unemployed to hireable in 3 months" will reel you in, but there is a lot that is left to be desired in this program (technical interview preparation, resume review, job board, etc.).
P.S. If you're a PC user doing RoR, try using a cloud-based IDE like Nitrous Pro or Cloud9.

Pros:
You can work at your own pace
You can schedule a weekly meeting with your mentor that helps guide and mold you into a UX designer
The coursework is not easy and requires to student to learn via hands on methods and doing the actual work themselves
You do not need to know how to code
You get to use new programs and tools that, as a designer, I wish I had known about earlier in my career
