Read More well together on the team project and we had help on the weekends and after class, our cohort even benefited from the help of alumni who came in on their own time to work with us! (A benefit that I hope to reciprocate with future cohorts!) We learned Python and Javascript, we used libraries like Django and React Rest Framework to complete our final project for Demo Day!!
This is not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination unless you are naturally gifted as a developer! Don't let that scare you though, challenge yourself like I did!! I may have struggled but I did graduate! YOU CAN TOO!!!
Our cohort benefited from the input and reviews from former students and outside influencers in the developer community.
You will work hard, everyday in class, everynight at home, and on the weekends too! Make sure you ask questions often in class, take great notes (keep them on your computer) get plenty of rest and remember to eat!!! You will be rewarded for your hard work with your certificate!
Afterwards there is a complete job SUPPORT system in place with tool to help you succeed in landing that first job, but again, YOU have to put in the work!!

Having started at Carolina Code School with 0 experience in web development, I learned the skills needed to become a web developer and change my career into technology. I never understood what people meant by, "You will never work a day in your life if... Read More you love what you do", till this class. But I will also preface everything by saying it's a labor of love, "You will get out of this class, what you put into it". To get the most out of this class, and be successful, you will be working on your assignments outside of class, nights, weekends, whatever. I can't thank Mady and Lelia enough, they keep the class going when it gets rough. They really do want you to succeed. The curriculum was fast paced, but extremely well laid out. One of the most important things you will get from this class is the ability to actually "learn" and "problem solve", when you graduate this is what employers are really looking for. Life long friends will be made and hopefully you'll develop a life long passion for programming that will take you as far as you want to go! It's called a bootcamp for a reason, it was tough, it's an experience like no other, but I wouldn't trade my 12 weeks there for anything.

I attended Carolina Code School and we had a great instructor named Dan, he knows his stuff, on the other hand the second teacher was awful, had favorites and secluded other class mates. Our class discussed as a whole how do address this and basically... Read More gave up, she made sure one person in the course got a job, left the rest to float. She would roll her eyes and make faces when people had questions and didn’t understand and people cried in class weekly. They offered zero out of class help and even had the class do things for publicity sake, This course could be great if they actually had a real programmer teaching not a lady that has to leave early over her dog, always feeling sick and wearing sweatpants and T-shirt’s and hiding in the back on Alumni day! They chose one person out of 8 to be the poster boy for the course and he literally lied his entire way through the course, I have never seen honesty be so frowned upon before as I have here, people legitimately cried out for help and got Nothing.

This school is a real joke and so is the teacher, no full stack experience Ever and basically let’s the class copy and paste off any site online, she had multiple personalities and obviously hates teaching! The director of the school must be blind to... Read More how this course is taught. The last course had 7 or 8 people and 2 didn’t graduate, when I tried to reach out to one she said she had no comment. This school is not good, an instructor that only knows JavaScript with a few years experience teaching and giving certificates out, how is that ok? Not to mention she plays favorites and if your not one of them good luck getting any help at all, avoid this school.
