I recently completed this online course and found it well-organized, with plenty of materials to support learning. It offered the structure I needed to work through each topic and build my skills through portfolio projects. Even though it's an online... Read More course, I never felt alone—there’s a solid support network, including student care, dedicated cohort facilitators, mentors, tutors, and a helpful Slack community. This support made a real difference, creating a sense of connection and encouragement throughout the course.
One area for improvement would be incorporating more exercises alongside theoretical learning, as this would deepen understanding and enhance practical skills. Overall, though, a very good experience!

I completed the full stack web developer program in 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a great cohort of students who mutually supported each other on the learning material to ensure success at the end of the programme. While at the start the material... Read More might seem easy, the bootcamp itself is intense with difficulty and content quickly ramping up, leaving not much leeway to fall behind - this is a full-time job.

At the end of the bootcamp i felt significantly more comfortable with a coding environment, and it was particularly helpful in providing me with an environment not only to learn the course material, but also as a starting point for a further learning journey.

Code Institute does not guarantee you a job, and the heavy lifting at the end of the course is up to you. Sometimes this process can be quite quick, and sometimes it might take longer. Partly that is due to your own amount of time you put into the job search, and partly the job market itself. That said, the single strongest element of the bootcamp experience was dealing with the wonderful post-course careers team. I want to in particular thank Robyn, my careers coach, for the help, feedback and advice she gave to me in landing my first position. The careers team know what they are doing, have experience in the field, and want you to succeed just as much as you do! It's surprising to me how much of a difference a good careers team can make to the process of landing that first tech job, but it's certainly worth every penny.

I made the decision to switch careers to software engineering and thoroughly researched various bootcamps. Code Institute offers a government-funded 16-week Full Stack Software Engineering bootcamp, which I ultimately chose.

Before starting, I felt quite... Read More nervous and unsure of what to expect. However, the staff at Code Institute were exceptional in explaining what lay ahead and how to best approach the bootcamp to succeed. Their guidance and expertise in helping new coders navigate the journey were invaluable.

The bootcamp is intense, and there is a lot of information to absorb. It's not something you can coast through easily, but if you commit yourself fully to the required hours and put in the effort, success is within reach. It’s demanding, but the reward is well worth it—a certificate and the opportunity to launch a career in tech.

After completing the bootcamp, I applied for a Data Analyst position through Code Institute’s network of partners and was accepted into the Digital Futures Academy following a 3-stage interview process.

Really enjoyed my experience, learning full time with the 16 week, full-stack software development skills bootcamp.

Our course facilitator Iris did an excellent job in guiding and motivating our cohort through the online programme. The content was interesting,... Read More varied, delivered at a good pace, and I honed far more skills than just coding. I appreciated how much of the course content was geared towards best practises when working in a team environment and I believe this will stand me in good stead when I start my first tech job next week. The hackathons were hard work, but incredible learning experiences and extremely rewarding.

Another aspect that particularly impressed me was the career coaching, working with recruitment experts (shout out to Robyn who is incredible) to understand how to tailor CVs, cover letters and prepare for job interviews within the tech sector.
After completing my final project, I received outstanding support from Robyn in preparing for my first in-person interview for a development role. I was offered the job (I appreciate I was very lucky) and could not be happier with the outcome.

Was completely new to coding prior to taking the five day coding challenge. Thoroughly enjoyed completing the Diploma. I found the projects to be challenging and extremely rewarding. The mentors were extremely hands-on and helpful and always pointed me... Read More in the right direction when I looked for guidance. The feedback on the projects was very thorough and the structure of the course was brilliant. The videos were clear and the practical tasks kept me engaged along the way. Highly recommend this Diploma and I will continue to develop my skills going forward.

The Full Stack Developer course opened up new opportunities in the career I'm passionate about pursuing. The support I received from my cohort facilitator, fellow students, tutor support, and mentor was invaluable, guiding me through the journey and helping... Read More me achieve success.

The only downside I encountered was that the PP5 project (Advanced Front End) felt somewhat outdated, which made it challenging to get certain aspects working properly. However, with the excellent support from the tutors, I was able to overcome these obstacles and successfully complete the project.

I found the curriculum well-explained and most of it up-to-date, help with the program and job search are something they do well. One thing I enjoyed is that they encouraged me to be independent in my questions, where to do my research so I can fix any... Read More problem without relying in others.

It was hard for me to find a good bootcamp, until I've stumbled upon Code Institute. The Course in Full Stack Software Development is well structured and it offers all the tools to get work-ready after completing the Course. Becoming full stack developer... Read More means dealing with a huge amount of data and learn to connect the dots between different parts of a website, knowing how to work with Agile methodologies. This was made possible by the course of Code Institute and especially by the people working behind it. A big part of work is of course up to the student, but I was always helped by my tutor and my mentor, who kept on checking how I was doing with the projects. On top of that, there is a Student Support, who can help out with code reviews at any time.
Only con I'd say is that the education is fully remote, that's hard to get to know a new field and people by sitting alone behind a computer. This con I'd say is relevant to bootcamps in general: cutting costs of renting rooms for the classes come first than giving a proper in-person training (which might be old-fashioned but I believe it's still the best way to learn and attentive to the well-being of students). I tried to look for a bootcamp on site but it seems none exists at the moment. However, as mentioned this con relats to the field of bootcamps in general and not to Code Institute. I think Code Institute was the best bootcamp I could find among all.

Pros are the learning material for the most part is easy to follow along with and well structured with plenty of support provided!

Cons are some parts of the course around the frameworks can feel a bit rushed.
