Read More knowledgeable (one worked as a machine learning scientist and has a PhD in the field, the other is a data scientist and has a master), and very patient and nice with the students. I learned a lot in six months, and I am extremely happy with the time investment that I made.

- Affordability: most affordable option that I found when researching bootcamps. I even got a scholarship from them and was able to pay in monthly installments
- Flexibility: the part time schedule fits the needs of the working mother that I am, and the instructors accommodated me multiple times for office hours.

The projects on blue teaming and red teaming helped me validate my skills and made me realize how much more I’ve learned compared to when I first started.

Sharing my experience attending their data science bootcamp a couple of years ago.
BG: I am a PhD student in biology, and I wanted to learn ML to use it in my work. I joined their part time data science bootcamp for six months.
Pros:
Small class sizes:... Read More I attended this bootcamp with two other students. We had one lead instructor, and two TAs, so we got all the attention we needed
Super affordable: that was the reason I chose them. The tuition was around CAD 3,500. But I also got about CAD 1,000 of discount (taking advantage of their women in tech program, and early bird registration) *and* I chose an installment plan over three years at no extra cost. The security deposits of the other bootcamps I was looking into were higher than my total tuition…
ML intensive: Another reason why I had chosen this bootcamp over the other ones was their curriculum which goes deep into lots of ML concepts
Great staff: everyone was very nice and the teachers were excellent

Cons:
Small class sizes: if you are looking for networking opportunities/a large alumni network, this can be a problem. Not sure what their class sizes/alumni network look like nowadays, but that’s something to keep in mind
No guaranteed job outcome: this was not a problem for me, since I was only looking to learn ML techniques to use for my thesis. When I was researching other bootcamps, I saw that some of them offered to refund your tuition if you didn’t get a job within a few months
Time zones: their classes/staff are in the German time zone, so six hours ahead of me. This was not an issue for the part time program that I took, but I can imagine it would be very hard to do it full time (their classes were live. Office hours were flexible)
Very intense program: they told me I would need to spend something like 15 hours a week between the lectures and homework (iirc). I ended up spending more like double that amount of time. At the end of the day, it was worth it because I learned a lot of very valuable concepts, but this is a big time commitment

I had a good experience with their cybersecurity bootcamp that I have completed earlier this year. I learned a lot of important concepts, especially related to blue teaming, that I use everyday in my job now. The instructors were really knowledgeable... Read More and the support staff very friendly, and I appreciate the fact that they accommodated me with extra help sessions after I had a minor health issue during the program. Definitely start searching for your job before you complete the program, though, as I had waited until I completed my final project to apply, and it took me more than a month to start getting interviews.

The relationship with the CLA Teaching staff is very friendly and I feel very welcomed. I am treated with all the respect and everything I need, from information to support materials, is provided. CLA’s Career Services Center has been attentive to me and has already provided me with great information about improving my resume. All the time and energy I am investing in this learning is already turning into a great gain in knowledge.

From this bootcamp I really learnt some things and It was totally engaging. Even though it's full time I don't even know how 3 months got over so soon even after completing the bootcamp I feel joining sessions and improving myself.
