Coder Foundry

I started at Coder Foundry in June or July of 2022. I was certainly not the best developer in my cohort by anyone's measure, but everyone there helped me catch up on any concepts that I was having trouble with, combined with me studying in my free time... Read More if I wasn't too tired (the course is fairly rigorous, especially in the second half). After I graduated, Kelly helped me find a job by giving my resume and my portfolio page to recruiters all the time, and it led to me finding my first job in software development only a little while after I graduated in September or October. I was recently laid off from that job, and even then, the team at Coder Foundry put me right back into their rotation of resumes that they send to recruiters, and I was able to find a job within two weeks of being laid off. I have nothing but great things to say about the process, and especially the after-graduation support that they give you.

It is also worth noting that, when I received my first job, it was in a very high cost-of-living area, and they were able to work with me on paying back my ISA payments when I was struggling while my wife was still trying to find work in our new area. That was a huge consideration for me when I was deciding whether or not to do it, and I was fairly skeptical beforehand about the job and payment support that would be available to me. I truly consider the post-graduation support you receive to be among the best parts of the entire bootcamp. No bootcamp will teach you every single concept you will need to know in three months without a lot of personal study, and you will of course learn so much of those necessary core concepts at your first job. Coder Foundry helped me get my foot in the door, so to speak, and they've continued to be my biggest resource for future jobs, even well after graduation and having experience in my field now.

I had virtually no coding experience before this boot camp and I've just landed my first job as a Full Stack .NET Developer today, about one month after graduating! Our instructor, Antonio, did an amazing job explaining concepts to us and preparing us for interviews. After graduating, I received outstanding assistance from Kelly in securing a job. I have been able to grow a lot from this course. I came into this class with a little bit of coding knowledge and have graduated from the bootcamp with knowledge far beyond I thought I would get in such a short time. I just landed my first developer job! It took a few months, but couldn't have done it without the continuous support and job leads from CF! In fact I've been assigned to work on a "tracker" app. Of course, I had to continue developing my new skills after the boot camp ended. The instructors were able to tailor their teaching styles to match everyone's comfort level with the languages and everyone was able to complete the required objectives. As for myself, even with a few years' experience under my belt I still learned a lot from all of the instructors and from my team members. The applications that were used as learning example were extremely professional looking and well planned out. The instructors took great care in designing the learning process to teach everyone how to build out each component for each application. They also went through great lengths to push everyone's creativity in building the applications into something that is personal to each student. After the cohort was complete, the team set their sights to helping all students work toward gaining employment as Full Stack .NET Developers. With new positions constantly being sent, the team helps everyone with preparing for interviews and even modifying resumes for particular positions. I would recommend Coder Foundry to anyone who is serious about getting into web application development.

I built grown up apps with coder foundry. I appreciate them for the same. Compared to other bootcamps, these apps really look and feel professional. Students do great as long as they can put in the work, stay on course and ask good questions. I was comfortable... Read More with most of the content but the first c# app we built, felt overwhelming. It was a sign of growth if anything. I stayed on course, looked at problems with a small scope by breaking them down and after the second app I built, I felt really better about the understanding. Enough that I was able to build extra functionalities with ease.

I first found Coder Foundry 2 years before I was able to apply, I had to wait for the right time and moment to become an applicant. I had joined another online boot camp that has gained a lot of traction since Covid first started back in 2018, and my... Read More experience was just okay to say the least. In my heart I knew Coder Foundry was the right place to be. I became hooked through a different lens. You have an owner of a company putting his face on the internet, not pushing an agenda, giving an honest opinion whether you go to his school or not. Some may say this could be a car salesman tactic, I've been bamboozled by car dealers my entire life and Bobby is not one of them. He is genuine, he cares about everyone's success. Once I was able to be enrolled in the 2023 cohort, it was go time! All of the Instructors are rooting for your success, they are available, immersive and accessible pretty much at all times for 3 months during the cohort and the extended time looking for work. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for the knowledge I have been given. My biggest wish for Coder Foundry is for large corporations to take in the students once graduated as their employees on a contract-to-hire basis. Coder Foundry sets the bar extremely high for junior level developers coming in. More companies need to take a look at this and recognize that we are set apart from your "normal" junior developer looking for work.
