Codeup was a great program to push my knowledge to the limits. The instructors are great and willing to help whenever possible. This is defiantly a school that you get what you put into it tho, if your not gonna study and practice the art of programming... Read More as taught in Codeup you will not be successful. I started in June and already had a job a week before graduation, if your looking for a start in WebDevelopment this is a great foundation to start.

Codeup was a very different course than what I was used to. Students are encouraged to interrupt with their questions (we were given a rubber duck to throw to get attention from the instructors). I've attended college, yet I gained more useful information form Codeup in a few months than the years I spent at college. Not just in programming, but job hunting as well. In fact, my employers really liked the fact that I went through a bootcamp, because that was excellent preparation for their training.

Overall, I highly recommend Codeup to anyone interested in learning web development.

If you are planning on doing Codeup, and have some coding experience, you might find some of the earlier sections slow. However, the instructors will be more than happy to point you to extra exercises.

I have been told by several Computer Science majors that I learned more in 16 weeks than they did in 2 years of university course work!

I chose Codeup out of all the bootcamps in the country because they felt like an actual school - not a for-profit business... Read More - who honestly cared about my education and ability to effectively enter the programming career field. The instructors are incredibly dedicated to their students and are constantly improving the curriculum to cater to their students' and the markets' needs. And everyone involved in the program has such strong connections in the tech community that finding potential employers was incredibly easy; I had 2 job offers within a week of graduating, simply because they knew the program and respected and trusted those involved!

I was very hesitant to change careers at first, plus bootcamps seemed very expensive. But Codeup will literally pay for itself within the first year at my new job. I am instantly making $15,000 more than I did in my previous career, in which I had 7 years experience and a bachelor's degree! This has been a life-changing experience and I have absolutely no regrets; it was 100% the right decision.

The instructors, the curriculum, and the overall experience I had in Codeup was simply incredible. This course is expensive, but worth every penny.

If you're afraid of programming, thinking that it may be too hard, you're wrong. Coding is possible for anyone, as the instructors will demonstrate countless ways on ways to learn programming on top of their already-fantastic curriculum and learning process. The curriculum isn't perfect, nor do they claim it is. But all of the instructors are humble and are there whenever you need help. If there's something you don't understand, they strongly encourage you to ask. They even hold study sessions every day and on weekends.

The biggest tool of Codeup is the networking opportunity. They have a final project demo-day where they showcase all of the student's work throughout the 3 months and invite a bunch of company looking for developers. I met so many company execs and recruiters that called me for job interviews after finishing Codeup. And although many of my cohorts got jobs immediately after finishing, I decided not to pursue a job immediately and instead finish my bachelor's degree (I had taken Codeup while I was a junior in college and had the summer off). Since then, I just graduated college in May and my web development knowledge that I acquired at Codeup enabled me to continue practicing throughout college, and now I just landed a full-time position in web development in Austin. I'm so insanely happy with this outcome, because my college degree wouldn't have guaranteed me a job like Codeup did.

This course is a great foundation for learning web development, and although anyone can do it, it will take dedication and hard work. The class is NOT easy, but it you can do it. Believe in yourself. Are you tired of your crappy job? Do you want to make a real effort and change careers? Or maybe you are like me, graduating college but knowing that a bachelors alone isn't enough to land a dream job.

Graduating Codeup has been life changing and nothing short of amazing! Although, I had a previous small taste of the tech arena, nothing on the same level as what I learned at Codeup. There were days when I struggled and even wondered if I had made the... Read More wrong choice with my career switch, I'm so glad that no instructor let me circle the drain and I never gave up! The curriculum, the instructors and support were top notch. The amount I've learned in 4 months is truly mind-blowing and the knowledge was quality, not just quantity. I realize now that approach the web with a different set of eyes and a different mindset. Not only do I view things as a developer, even when I'm not actively trying, my thinking has even undergone an transformation and I approach problems in a more pragmatic manner. I couldn't have chosen a better place to get the foundation that I needed to change my career, and literally code up!

The course consisted of a mix of instructor-led full class sessions, guest speakers, lunch talks, mentoring sessions, a couple of hackathons, after hours study hall (for students that wanted to catch up) and a final capstone project developed in a team of 3-4 people that we presented on graduation day.
Codeup instructors and staff are world-class and were there for us all the time. Since then I've been working as a Web Developer and loved every bit of it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start a new career in Web Development.

They have successfully created an awesome learning atmosphere, that creates a great network going into the coding world.

Attending this boot camp was an amazing value for me. The instructors are very passionate and knowledgeable about their subject. The community of Geekdom is an added bonus. At the end of the course, the staff is very helpful in finding you a job and give post curriculum advice on where to go next.
