Data analytics is the process of generating insights from large amounts of data in order to make better (business) decisions. As part of the digital transformation, modern companies are making large investments to use data analytics to become more data-driven. Making data analytics work in large organizations and businesses, goes well beyond having the right data and the right analytics tools.

In this course we explore industry standards of how data analytics projects can be realized in the real world. We will cover project setup and planning, assessing the data and all processes surrounding it, analytics models and their lifecycle management in the context of the complex and fast-changing business world.

In this three-day course you will master the basics of the widely used open-source language R and use it to conduct your own basic statistical analyses. Oracle estimated over 2 million R users worldwide in 2016, cementing R as a leading programming language in statistics and data science.

For this course no prior knowledge is required, neither in programming nor statistics. We will teach you the concepts, topics, and techniques used by data scientists and statisticians every day—including observational studies and experiments, correlation, regression, exploratory data analysis, and inference. You’ll also develop your stats skills by working with real-world data, including Stack Overflow surveys, real estate prices, and medical shipment data.

One of the skills that characterizes great business data analysts is the ability to communicate practical implications of quantitative analyses to any kind of audience member. Even the most sophisticated statistical analyses are not useful to a business if they do not lead to actionable advice, or if the answers to those business questions are not conveyed in a way that non-technical people can understand.

In this course you will learn how to become a master at communicating business-relevant implications of data analyses. By the end, you will know how to effectively convey the results of your data analyses to your stakeholders, using visualizations in Tableau, the most popular visualization program in the business world. Finally, you will be practiced in designing and persuasively presenting business “data stories” that use these visualizations, capitalizing on business-tested methods and design principles.

This course is for students who already have a little bit of programming language and would like to learn about the basics of Deep Learning without spending too much time on theory. In this course, we will quickly show you the basics and get very quickly to building and training your first image classification algorithm based on Deep Learning.

You will be surprised how easily you can build your own state-of-the-art algorithm that will not only differentiate pictures cats vs. dogs but their breeds! In your own model you will be able to choose your classes. How about images of Thai dishes?

In this introductory course we will be going through one of the most popular Data Science courses on the internet, Prof. Andrew Ng’s “Machine Learning” on Coursera. The course covers various aspects of Data Science including Neural Networks - the foundation for "Deep Learning".

​The course is organized in two modules of one week each. The first module will cover the Machine Learning basics, the second module Advanced Machine Learning. You may take either module in-class or remotely according to your schedule and needs.

Tuition fee: 400 USD or 12,000 THB (50% per module, financial aid available)

Duration: 2 weeks (week days) for both modules

This course aims to teach everyone the basics of programming computers using Python. We cover the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python. The course has no pre-requisites and avoids all but the simplest mathematics. Anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to master the materials in this course.

​This course can serve as basis for the course "Deep Learning Crash Course", which requires basic programming skills.
