The progression and relevance of all the courses are a well designed path to master Python in DS. The courses are very focused on the relevant material. I love this courses, I feel like to learn something, I need to go throught the material couple times, there are many levels of understanding material and I feel that I'm taking another step. To be honest, I am learning new stuff(or something I was studying... Read More at the university of technology but dont remember or then I didn't learn it well) for a couple months and if it was in another form it would be much more difficult to withstand daily learning. I love exp and skill track(playing computer games, I loved getting exp and take lvl up).

This form of short video and excersice with slides is just great, because I see somenthing some short theory and I can try this in code, something I've missed at my university of technology - theory often hasn't gone hand in hand with practice or was too hard to understand and do something on my own without looking for answers.

Another thing is that I have two kids and I'm detached from the computer sometimes many times in every hour, I have a lot of duties at home, but thanks to the form of the course, I get the thread again very quickly and know what to do, I have slides, I have content for the exercise, I can go back to the video. Thanks to all of this I have no problem with just sit and do some practice because even if I need to take a break I did one or two excersice, it's just great I'm moving forward even sometimes with small steps but still.

I have read other opinions and I have to mention that I don't understand the problem of copying the code or building a portfolio - to copy just ctrl+c, to build a portfolio it is enough to understand the material and do it, isn't building a portfolio also about putting even the smallest effort into the process? Especially if practically every line of code is described and explained, as well as the whole context.

Summary: Do yourself a favour and ifollow tutorials that will have you working in your own IDE (I use RStudio). Using an integrated shell for learning is counter productive, especially when very badly implemented. The only benefit I can see is having... Read More the ability to provide guidance (that is never particularly helpful) or being able to inject terrible attempts at humor that are so cringey, it makes dad jokes look edgy and cool.

Pros:
- I didn't have to pay, neither should you.

The many cons, in no particular order:
- Integrated shell that abstracts learning into your browser and makes you incompetent with your own IDE
- Doesn't actually teach you the core concepts of what is actually happening, just explains that this code creates this result. You might think this is a practical way of learning. You will discover that your practical application will be vastly limited.
- Having to solve a problem that wasn't covered in the "lecture". I hope the quotation marks convey my heavily implied sarcasm.
- The integrated shell is cluttered, messy and unhelpful. You can tell that no significant effort was put into the "guidance".
- There is more I can say, but I need to be making up the time I wasted on their website.

They have a great range of courses to tackle data science topics but they make it extremely hard to learn and extract code to keep for reference. There is no option to download the code we write in their environment and they don't help you get set up... Read More to use it in our own personal environment. I wouldn't recommend them because as someone learning data science you want to be able to build a portfolio of project. I prefer using Dataquest where thy let you download everything and work towards building a portfolio of projects.

To say DataCamp is educational would be an insult to the concept of education. Instead of teaching various concepts - how to make lists, what certain... Read More functions mean, loops, etc. - before throwing several problems your way, DataCamp insists on dropping you into concepts and problems with zero context. Feedback for incorrect submissions often amounts to "your code is wrong" - which is obvious, given that running the code generates an error. There's very little guidance on how to actually utilize code. Perhaps more perplexing, most of the code is written out for you; instead of being given hands-on experience writing code, the work is already done for you. It creates this paradoxical form of handholding which actually cripples more than helps.

Don't waste your time; you're better off watching YouTube videos.

The Ironhack bootcamp is very intensive, but the school itself makes the process as easy as possible for the student.
The school has a modern campus and free beer on Fridays , that makes are very easy going environment, where um can take a nap when you... Read More are crazy stressed out or just hangout and talk to some cool people.

The bootcamp as said is pretty intensive, but the TAs (teacher assistants) are always there to help you even when your crisis is emotional. Haha

And the school brings you pretty close to the market, every week there is talks with people working in the area, that helps you prepare even more to what is coming!

If you want pretty fast changes career wise and are willing to work like crazy, I totally recommend the ironhack bootcamp.
