It is a very well planned out course that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to dive into Figma.

Overall I thought this class was super helpful in helping me fine tune my job searching skills. I think the curriculum was set up in a way that was easy to follow and easy to understand. I do think they could've spent more time on portfolio building before... Read More jumping into the interview stage. As someone who doesn't like to apply until everything looks completed, I could've used a little more time to edit. However, I have gained a lot of useful tips and resources and I'm feeling more organized now going back into the job search. I thought my mentor did a great job, however once I fell behind it was harder to receive feedback from her. I do wish we would've done more breakout rooms to get to know the rest of the students more. One last thing that I would've love more of is design feedback on my portfolio and resume. I feel like I am able to speak to it confidently, however would've loved more feedback on the actual layout. I'm hoping what I've gained helps me move from applying to the interview process, so we'll see!

This was a really great course, comprehensive, fun, challenging and it really helped me grow as a designer. The video lessons were really informative, a lot of fun to watch. Learning with a group of designers forged a bond that continued after the class... Read More ended, as did the mentorship, which was absolutely priceless. After taking this course I was able to build up my portfolio and skills enough to get my first job in the product design field. The course really helped me change the trajectory of my career path and helped me get to where I wanted to be.

The course content, although condensed, provided guidance with helpful exercises to get a better understanding of each process. Getting tips and tricks from Jesse was a real treat! Although we are required to work on the same project required for graduation; it is a great opportunity to see how fellow cohorts approached problems. In the 12 weeks, I learned that what you put in is what you get out.

I was a bit surprised when I found out that many product design principles e.g. UX laws, Information Architecture, were not covered. Some content about Figma was a bit dated which was a bummer. The mentorship experience was a blast. My mentor is clear, knowledgeable and willing to share her real work examples. It really helps give exposure on what to expect when you work in the industry. She provided a lot of additional information about product design and provided me with directions to continue my education in product design. My friend had the opposite experience. Your experience would be so different depending on who your mentor is. The program team provided ZERO career support. They would share your portfolios online, and that is it. All students shared the same Dog Walking App case study, which was a disaster.
