Read More seem to be non existent in the program. I was able to get one recommendation from a TA but most other staff have "ghosted" me. We didn't even receive our certifications until a month or two after the class ended, and this was after multiple people had to make official complaints. So here I am, months later, still unemployed and starting to look at part time jobs because I spent all of my savings to do the bootcamp. It wasn't a complete loss, I learned quite a bit but at this point in time I regret having signed up for the boot camp and I feel like I got scammed.

You'll need a basic understanding of how to work with a computer, copy and saving of files, things like that. You'll need to to commit a significant... Read More amount of time to study. When admissions gives you an estimate of how much time you'll need, believe them! Assume the higher estimate. I can't emphasize this point strongly enough: make sure you have the aptitude to take this on before you commit. I suggest you put in a significant amount of time exploring free tutorials on HTML, CSS and JavaScript before committing. There are lots of great tutorials on youtube. If you do a few tutorials on each and find it an enjoyable experience, this may be a good path for you. If you find that you struggle, you'll struggle even more when the coursework gets harder. And it will. The instructor and teaching assistants for my cohort were outstanding. There will be "office hours" that occur before and after class. The instructor and teaching assistants will use that time to provide additional information and opportunities to go over issues you're having with the coursework. You should plan on attending all office hours. The more you engage with the instructor and TAs, the better you'll do. When you're given a chance to answer questions, or write some code in front of the class, take it! You will fail, some. That's okay. The people who did this for the most part seem to accomplish much more than those who chose to stay in the background. The program provides a chat-based support. It's is amazingly good. When working on the assignments, you will get stuck. They're there to help get you un-stuck. But they're not there to write code for you. You don't want them to. They give you some ideas, maybe share a link to some resources, then send you on you way. This course was an emotional rollercoaster for me, and I'm not a particularly emotional person. There were times of immense stress, times when I doubted I could pull it off. Then there were times of absolute joy, like finding that bug you've spent the last two days searching for and watching your app go live. In the end, I'm completely satisfied with the experience. And I'm employed!

Signed up for the full time class. Had a life event that prevented me from being there. They would not switch me to a part time class or to a due start date. They instead say you have a year from the course end date. You don’t get a graduation certificate... Read More or job assistance, just will grade your stuff. Now I had surgery and then a medical emergency and asked if I could just cancel everything to get a partial refund so I can help pay for medical bills since I am out of work and they said no. There is no compassion. Do not pay up front to get the discount in case something happens to you and you have to back out. Because they only give you 2 days to see if you like the course when it’s doing easy stuff, to withdraw and get your money. Show you the easy stuff as a bait in switch. Just be careful because once your end they won’t give your money back even if you died on day 5.

This course allowed me to better understand the application used on a daily basis. I built a strong background learning how to install and configure computers and with this program I now understand how they all work. I was nervous at first, but the instructors... Read More were all great and I do not regret my decision. The Career advisors could do a little better with students and properly assiting them but again the program itself will alone help you. Building and creating are both ways to not only explore information but to instill real world applications that showcase and are used on a glabal scale, which is pretty amazing considering. Great overall experience.
