Overall, the AI200 course was a great introduction to the range of problems that machine learning can solve. If you're already familiar with Python programming, AI200 distinguishes itself by assuming basic working knowledge of Python so you can spend more time learning new material. If you're new to Python, you can look into Heicoders Academy's AI100 course, which covers the prerequisites.

Instead of spending time on theory, the curriculum discusses the ML models' motivation and intuition, emphasising their strengths, weaknesses, tips and pitfalls. It's very much a practical and hands-on course, at times equally challenging and satisfying. Plus the teaching team (instructor + TAs) are prompt and supportive in helping us with assignments and course materials, and other troubleshooting.

I recently finished the fast-tracked AI200 course provided by Heicoders Academy, and I can say with confidence that I've learned much more these past 2 weeks than from any "Machin Learning (ML) Course" that I've taken thus far. It has given me a good... Read More foundation into several ML libraries used and the fundamental functions of each. One thing that really stuck with me was the emphasis on problem solving skills rather than just knowledge of the different libraries. Lead Instructor Min Yan used the example that if there was a "one-size-fits-all" model, then ML Engineers wouldn't be in demand - the company just needs that one model for everything. ML Engineers are there not only to implement programs, but use their knowledge to figure out which models are the best to apply. I would wholly recommend this course to anyone interested in Machine Learning as I believe it is one of the rare courses out there that gives the most bang for one's buck.
