They are always willing to help guide a student when assistance is needed.

I started the course with next to no coding experience and by the end had created a functional full stack web app on my own! It is a very intensive course so do not think it will be an easy pass but is certainly well worth your time and investment if interested.

It was well run for being the initial class. The instructor is very knowledgeable and has been in industry. I believe this gives the class an advantage over just an instructor who has just taken classes. The training camp had teaching assistants who were... There are always glitches with any initial class but they worked hard to listen to the students and took all the student feedback along the way into account. I believe that they have incorporated the suggestions into their next classes for an even better experience.

The curriculum is very different than other courses and requires a lot of personal work. They expect you to take your learning in your own hands and take the time to practice and ask for help if you don't understand. But if you struggle through it you end up not only knowing about code, but actually how to code, how you like to code, and which rescources you prefer to use. You come out of a Helio Training bootcamp not as a cookie cutter developer, but an professional with your own way of doing things. And you know how to find answers when you run into problems with your code.

The instructor was very willing to spend time outside of class to help me understand and execute difficult concepts. And all the instructors they hire are industy experts who have actually worked in the industry. No boot camp student teachers at Helio.

And while some bootcamps only provide career services and portfollio building for their part timers Helio does it for all their courses, even the online ones.

Overall, a difficult but worthwile experience.

If you are willing to work hard, study and practice, then you will get a great experience. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and have really enjoyed the career services seminars and career assistance so far.
If you are dead serious about learning to code, with in the latest JavaScript and frame works then I would recommend.

Overall, pretty disappointing. I'm attending to brush up on some new concepts and it hasn't been a great experience. Instructor is mediocre, and doesn't even come close to the expectations they built up ahead of time (which I knew were unrealistic anyway).... Read More Classroom management is a problem, feels like high school. The structure of the course is confusing, not well laid out. In general, it just feels like the whole thing is unprofessional and disorganized...kind of feels like it was thrown together.
