I took the Jelly Academy Digital Marketing Bootcamp course in the fall of 2022. I was lucky enough to receive the Women in Digital Scholarship to help support my learning. I would highly recommend this course to folks who are brand new to digital marketing,... Read More or people like myself who have a bit more experience. I was drawn to this course because they provide a syllabus that encourages you to complete other industry certifications at the same time, so that was a great push for me to learn a lot in a short period of time. One area that I feel the course could be improved would be having more interaction with others taking the course. Things like a forum, Slack channel, Discord, etc. would have been valuable to share learnings and network with others in the course. Overall, I'd highly recommend and encourage folks to check out their scholarship opportunities if cost is a barrier.

I was a little scared going into the program as to what this would look like for me. I was scared that I would not be able to focus or carry myself through. But one of the things that really stood out for me is how passionate and enthusiastic the instructors... Read More were. I did the self paced course. So even though I did not get the chance to interact with the instructors, I was able to see how excited they were to teach and in turn I felt excited as well. I am so grateful for everything I learned. I hope to take a cohort class next. I was also a recipient of the Black and People of Colour Scholarship, which was an honour. My grandpa would be so proud of me right now. I know this program has prepared me with the skills and knowledge to take my career to the next level. I really enjoyed how I could go back and re-watch some of the lessons I struggled with I appreciated the enthusiasm and knowledge of the instructors I loved how relatable the instructors were. The PR portion of the course was my personal favourite, that is something that I learned throughout the course that is what I would love to explore more of. I wish I had taken the cohort class and not the self-paced class for the classroom experience. The self paced was great, but you really have to be motivated, luckily the instructors make it easy to stay motivated as they make the experience fun.

Overall this course was great! It has only a few hours a week which was easy to fit into my busy schedule. Being online it was nice to do the course remotely but I definitely prefer in person classes as I can learn better that way. There’s definitely... Read More not enough time to learn everything in the short class but it was a great intro class to digital marketing.

The instructors make the sessions engaging by allowing everyone to connect openly in discussion and providing fun quizzes throughout each session. A recording of all the sessions are also made available to you after to review the materials at anytime. As a person who works three jobs and was also quite ill for one of the scheduled weeks, I found this to be a very helpful tool. This is all so new to me and I still have so much to learn, but Jelly Academy has truly inspired me to continue my knowledge in the world of digital and I am very grateful to have found them.
