I am currently taking internship in start up tech company as an app and web-developer, and I can’t describe my happiness how lighthouse helped me that job. Read More bootcamps was the richness of the full-stack curriculum. I found touching the many different things as a very helpful intro to what you need to have a grasp on to be a successful dev. Over and above the content itself, I learnt to not be afraid to learn on my own, which I believe is a crucial skill for any good dev. I would recommend this exceptional place any day.

I was probably a bit lucky as well to be offered an internship with their internal software dev team after graduation. so my learning experience went beyond the normal bootcamp experience after graduation...with the privilege of working with an amazing software dev team...

When I enrolled in the program, it was 8 weeks long. I completed the prep course (the quality of the prep course was one of the reasons I chose LHL over the competition), and felt somewhat comfortable. My advice, go back and practice any areas that you... Read More found challenging. I came from a non-programming career and it was a totally different way of learning/thinking. I wish that I had asked to rollover at the 4 week mark, I was struggling to get each project completed, but just managed to finish by weeks' end with help from mentors and classmates. The new term of 10 weeks is more appropriate in my opinion, though it truly depends on the student, some of my classmates were flying through the projects and I swear were yawning at times. It may sound a bit extreme but there should be more separation of the advanced students and those who need more help/time. When you graduate, KEEP CODING! You will be exhausted, and perhaps dread the sight of your IDE but like the cliche goes: no pain, no gain.

P.S. Get yourself a good support network, friends, family and a hobby unrelated to tech really helped me keep my sanity.

The curriculum for our cohort was half Ruby, half JavaScript. It was fairly good to fill in my knowledge gap of how websites/ web applications got build from thr front to back end perspective. I can't speak for their new curriculum in only JavaScript... Read More though.

My peers are smart, have good work ethics and generally decent to work with. There are really good TAs, lecturers who explain things well.

Besides resume reviews, mock interviews, and demo day, there was not much job support after graduation. I got my job after a seriers of internships and freelancing that got nothing to do with LHL.

I've been wanting to change career and do something fun which led me to become interested in a coding bootcamp. The entire admission process was great and they provide you with the fundamentals that you need to learn on your own before Day 1. The curriculum... Read More is extremely fast pace but at the end of the bootcamp, you will have sufficient knowledge to land a job as an intern/junior developer. At times, the course work is very overwhelming but if you can survive 10 weeks of intense curriculum, you will be ready to interview with some of the employers that Lighthouse sets you up with. A month after I graduated, I was able to land a job that was referred by the staff at Lighthouse. If you are serious about getting into coding as a career as soon as possible, this is the right place for you.
