I had an amazing time while studying at Microverse! The whole experience is very great because you will need to figure out most of the things by yourself, allied only with the given materials and peers' help, similar to daily work, where there are no... Read More teachers. The job support is awesome, the materials teach you to prepare a solid Resume, Cover Letter, LinkedIn Profile, GitHub... to only say a few. The course is very intensive, 8-hours a day, minimum, five days per week for about 9 months!! It was sure a very hard but rewarding experience. The people that I met were so nice and I made friends for life! Being a new school, there are for sure some things that can be improved. They send a lot of forms to be filled, which can be very frustrating and boring sometimes. Also, they could improve the way that code reviewers review code, by allowing more specific and meaningful reviews, maybe hiring professional software developers for that task. The curriculum could also allow more deep projects to be done, maybe simulating the daily life of a real company, for example. Overall, for a global remote school that doesn't charge anything until you get a job, it is very good! I really loved the experience that I had and the international job that I got, and I will be always thankful to Microverse and my friends, who helped me very much during this journey!

It is very frustrating especially when the deadline is approaching.

Pros: Microverse online boot camp has given me the opportunity to collaborate with peers with the same goals. I have worked with people from different countries. This has really improved my learning process significantly because I have two special friends... Read More that we code together outside the normal learning hours a Kenyan and Nigerian. We solve problems together most nights as well. This has helped me cover a lot within my first four months. I couldn't cover this for over a year that I started learning alone. The school also encourages students to learn more. I got rewarded with a Microverse T-Shirt for having the highest quiz score just a few months ago. It really encouraged me and my friends a lot. Everyone wants to know what I did to deserve a shirt and they will say, Oh I have to work harder so I can also get a shirt. The coding school is also well structured. Even though I am learning from home, it makes me feel so accountable. Attendance also serves as a form of discipline. Once you are not been consistent with your attendance, that is if you have less than 90% attendance within a module(5-weeks), you will have to take that module all over again. Also, we take quizzes every Friday. This quiz tests your knowledge concerning what you learned and built during the week. The least you are permitted to score is 70%, however, if you score less than 70%, you have two more attempts to take it again, but if after the whole attempt you still score less than 70% you will have to retake the whole week all over again because it shows you have not really understood whatever you've learned that week. This to me is a good test of knowledge and a great way to learn. Lastly, I would say something about Zendesk. At Microverse, students get responses fast when they open a Zendesk ticket concerning any issues they have. The response is always swift. This has helped me out twice. The staffs are always there to attend to you. Cons: It will be a great thing if the results of the weekly quiz are made available to students after a week or so. This will enable students to learn from their mistakes. To me, it's not really about the quiz, it's about learning.

This is my third month at Microverse, I have learned so much here than learning alone for a whole year. I have been introduced to the best way to get things done. A full-time program usually means that you have to have a lot of savings to make things count. Well, not, in this case, Microverse offers part-time jobs that engage students and let us get enough money to help ourselves. The jobs are remote, So, you probably don't have to commute. I would tell they are awesome over and over again.

I can say it is the best Bootcamp to get a job but they have a lot to improve because many students spent more than half of the course working alone and not with coding partners from my 1.0 generation.
