Course Description:

The Data Science Bootcamp is an intensive, part-time evening program designed to prepare highly motivated adult learners with prior academic or professional experience in statistics, quantitative research, and/or software engineering for a job as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer or related position.

Data Science lies at the intersection of statistics/quantitative analysis, business acumen/domain expertise, and programming/“hacking” skills. The bootcamp focuses on hands-on training in software engineering skills required to do data science as well as applying the necessary stats/math/analytical skills against real-world problems drawn from a wide range of problem domains.

We believe that the Nashville area has an untapped supply of latent talent for data analytical work. But, that talent needs access to accelerated, focused, real-world training. We’ve designed the Data Science Bootcamp to help address this need.

- Part-time evening program that will meet two evenings a week and on Saturdays for a total of nine months.
- Hands-on training in software engineering skills required to do data science. Students will learn to apply the Python and R languages to data analytics problems.
- Application of stats/math/analytical skills against real-world problems drawn from a wide range of problem domains, including: digital marketing, supply chain, healthcare, retail and financial services.
- Hands-on experience applying data engineering skills to sourcing, cleaning, and aggregating data for data science projects. Training on major “Big Data” tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc. as well as cloud-based data management through services such as AWS.

Course Description:

Our Front-End Web Designer/Developer Bootcamp is a specialized version of our Web Developer Bootcamp. This six-month full-time bootcamp will train you to work across the entire spectrum of front-end design and development. You will be trained in User Experience (UX) design, User Interface (UI) design and the implementation of those designs into working code in the browser (front-end development).

This program will give you an intensive, immersive introduction in the skills required to execute the role of a front-end web developer and build websites, front-end web applications, hybrid mobile applications, etc. It is not only a design program - it is an immersive exploration of what it takes to actually design, build and deliver usable interactive experiences.

- Full-time course load with classes meeting M-F from 9am-4pm
- 6 month commitment
- Homework and individual projects for nights and weekends
- Ideal for people with some training and/or experience in design but that want to extend their skills into the area of digital product design and development.

Students will learn how to apply statistical reasoning through hands-on training in the most widely-used tools, including Excel, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. Using real data from local companies in a variety of problem domains, such as healthcare, financial services, digital marketing, supply chain, and retail, students will gain practical experience in all stages of the analytics workflow. You will also learn to present your findings via presentations and storytelling, building reports, and creating dashboards.

Course Description:

Software Engineering with Java/AWS Specialization is a nine month, intensive, full-time program designed to prepare highly motivated adult learners for careers in software engineering, including jobs such as Software Engineer, Cloud Software Developer, Full-stack Software Engineer, Backend Software Developer, etc.

The nine-month, full-time program combines:
- A broad introduction to applied computer science concepts, including algorithms and data structures, object-oriented programming, concurrent programming, etc.
- Hands-on use of real-world software engineering tools and practices such as source code control using Git/GitHub, Agile development methods, testing and debugging, team-based projects, cloud computing platforms, etc.
- Practice building and deploying cloud-native backend applications using tools such as Java, Amazon’s market leading AWS cloud platform, DynamoDB, etc.
- Building career development skills so that you’re prepared not just to do the work of a Cloud Software Engineer but you’re prepared to succeed in the job search after graduation.
