3 months back , I Joined Pragra DevOps BootCamp. I went in with zero technical background while working part-time and parenting at the same time, so it was definitely challenging but doable! We went through a lot of information in a pretty short span of time, which I think is helpful in getting used to learning new concepts quickly. At the end of the program, I had deployed multiple web applications using Python, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes. I also taught myself to use GCP on top of AWS which was a lot of fun. After completing the boot camp, I was connected with a career coach - Vivek and am continuing to work with him. I am so grateful the accountability this is part of the program provides because I really get pushed to keep working hard so that I can hopefully find a company that I can work with soon!

These ranged from hands-on with a distinguished track record in academia, to hands-on software engineers with experience working with complex systems. In all cases the instructors were encouraging and generous with their time. The bootcamp has an extensive pre-work section and I'd advise any attendees to complete this thoroughly. 12 weeks is a short time to cover the amount of material that's on the curriculum, so building basic unix skills before the start will be very beneficial. All-in-all I felt the bootcamp delivered exactly the skills that I was looking to build. I'd recommend it highly to anybody who wants a serious foundation in the Cloud and DevOps area. I decided to go ahead with them as they guided me for my right career path as a java Developer program.

The program is set in a blended way you’ll be called to complete tasks during the session. Those tasks get you through the basics of some of the most used programming languages and frameworks. Some of them are individual others with teammates.

You have to learn so much in so little time (16 weeks) that it has to be intense and you must be prepared to work hard and commit many hours a week. I recommend you to spend 2-3 hours if you really want to get an output of this program.

Don’t expect everything to be handed to you. What you get is assignments, access to coaches for guidance, an environment where competition and team spirit meet. In the end, you will be an expert with Java and various frameworks shown in the program. But I can tell you that no challenges will afraid you once you are done with this and you are ready to conquer the Canadian job market. They have multiple clients to get you connected to the industry at right time.
