This 8 week Tues/Thurs class was excellent. The course is taught by data analytics practitioners who do a great job peppering the academic side of Data Analytics with real world, understandable examples. Whether you are novice or advanced, if data analytics... Read More is interesting to you, then you will get a lot out of this class. Most of the folks in my class were on the Business side of their companies. The course started out with pivot tables, moved to SQL, then Python (which I understand is being broken into its own course - which is good, because it is a bit more advanced topic), to building the actual visuals, and then to working a case study. The instructors were able to challenge the more advanced users and give some one-on-one help to others struggling in various areas. Like everything in life, you get out of it, what you put into it. I learned many new things. I refreshed my experience in several areas. And I expanded my network in the Data Analytics space. It’s a win, win, win! I highly recommend it.

I work in OSINT currently and wanted to take an introductory course in SQL, Python, and Tableau. Aaron approached me about the program and answered all of my questions before helping me pick which course was best for me. I chose the Data Analytics class... Read More that was offered in person in Chicago, but living in DC, I joined the online stream every week. The course offered by Promotable went above and beyond in giving me a basic understanding on how to use this programs. The slides and data sets are made available to students on the online portal and very easy to follow. The course is set up for the instructor to teach, then go over examples, and finish each unit with individual projects. I especially liked this aspect as we were able to pick data from sources of our own choosing and tailor the project to either our professional or personal interests. It also helped make the weekly lessons less theoretical as we took what we were taught and produced small unit projects with it.

Scott Adams was the instructor for the course and he is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had in my academic career. He is engaging, thorough, detailed, and uses his own experiences to make the class very hands on. He was just as available to online students as he was for the in person ones in the classroom with him. Scott makes these intimidating programs very manageable for users of all skill levels. Scott and Aaron are two of the biggest reasons that I will be taking another course with Promotable this Spring. Aaron has created a program that is endlessly beneficial for professionals seeking to grow their expertise. And Scott executes the syllabus unlike anyone else. I am so excited for my next Promotable course!

This was an excellent experience for me to gain skills in data analysis. I previously came in with Excel and SQL knowledge. The SQL work was not particularly new to me, but I still gained good practice and experience. I particularly enjoyed the Python... Read More portion of the course. Python is a difficult language to learn initially, but the course broke down the basics at a good pace. Aaron set the expectation that you will get the most out of this course if you come in with a plan. I came in with a concept for my Python project and worked hard to reach my goal. My teacher was excellent and stayed after class with me to answer any specific questions I have. The best part of the course is you are able to work on projects which ultimately shows off your SQL, Python, and Tableau skills. I would recommend this course for someone with beginner level skill or no experience in data analysis.

Going into the workshop I had only interfaced with excel on a basic level. Expense Tracking & Financial Modeling. I left the workshop having a positive grasp on utilizing pivot tables & creating fluid / dynamic dashboards. Highly recommend this workshop... Read More & future ones.
