Even when I was talking with other local Bootcamp recruiters in St.Louis, it didn't take long to figure out which ones are merely hiring for the numbers, no matter the cost. They try to sell you on "You don't get a job, and you won't pay" or "100% tuition coverage guaranteed", but research these claims, and you'll find predatory loan companies that have changed their names multiple times due to shady practices. Half the time, I felt like I was talking to a used cars salesman that even made me second guess going to a Bootcamp with the hopes of getting a job in the middle of a pandemic. Savvy Coders continuously updates their curriculum by working with local businesses and evaluating their needs. The course is extremely demanding and the cliche saying of "You get out what you put in." is correct in the 12-week period. Emotions do run high through the program, but this is to be expected to be qualified for a job after only 12 weeks. Savvy also has a team of recruiters/career coaches that will assist with resumes, pitches, interviews, and even the hiring processes. I worked with Laurie Wilson 3 or 4 times a week with all the interviews I was going through and finally accepting an offer.
