I joined scaler as a fresher. The Curriculum is really good, the teachers are amazing and you always have doubt support.
The bad thing is the job support, specially flr the freshers. I am pretty good with dsa and I use C++ for implementing it. I was always... Read More told, that language doesn't matter. But I wanted to apply there were always constraints due to python or java. I new javascript. So I applied for javascript. But the problem is they ask certification for everything, even for internships. It felt like we have to go through endless certifications to land a job which gives us 3 lakhs / annum .
I will list out some certifications.
DSA
Database
Python/java/javascript
Mern stack/reactjs. If you want to apply to some jobs
LLD-1, 2,3
HLD
Etc.
And the problem is its Compulsory to pass them if you want to apply for job.
Now why do I need HLD if I am a fresher?
So, I don't think the job support is helpful at all for freshers.
Its like companies want everything for 3 lpa/ annum
Also before joining scaler I already was very good with DSA, database and had few projects in Reactjs and a publication and had made it to last rounds in Amazon, ellucian etc. And got 1-2 offers as well in a small startup which was around 9lpa . But at that time I wasn't able to take the offer due to personal reasons.
With scaler I wasn't even able to schedule an interview which had 6LPA Salary. So for me it was a huge downgrade .
Overall I your Motive is to upskill and study the platform is Great with one of the best teachers and really intelligent smart and helpful people. But job support?
I got only one offer from scaler and that too as an intern . In a company I won't mention and that too as a UI developer where I only had to work on html +css and even that was limited . And also they didnot make anyone permanent after 6 months of internship at INR 10,000/month . I think such companies should not be allowed as they are only for time wasting of candidates.

Scaler Academy helped me stay consistent with my coding practice and gave me a structured path to follow. I was desparate and was feeling stuck in TCS. Although i wanted to progress, but i did not had skill or confidence. I was afraid of multiple programming languages and terms. But after joining Scaler, the way the mentors teach, that opened the thought... Read More process, how to think independent of any language and build the logic step by step. That was a big game changer. After that, whatever interviews I gave, i excelled very well and cracked really good job which was beyond my imagination some time back.
Platform has all the content well structured and organized. You can also connect with make friends with other peers and form your own practise group if needed. The only struggle I found is, with full time job keeping pace was really challening. If you can comimt to a few hours a week, this platform will give the much needed boost in your career for sure.
Course content is available even after course completion and network of amazing people over slack is also available. Other that that you can access other master class recording and watch at your conveninece. Its not just a small bootcamp of few months, but a long lifetime connection with like minded people. A great community to learn and grow together.
Regarding job support, they do have a dedicated career page with all openings. Personally i could not benefit much.But, after completing modules you can apply for youself. Also most companies that come offer pretty good offers, you just need to put in required efforts. I would also suggest keep trying outside and not completely rely on scaler, and also reach out to others in scaler community for referrals. Scaler does give support, but also leverage other mediums to land good job sooner. Overall a good community to be part of.

We often feel confused while going for a big career-making decision in our life. Read More just the inner fear that pulls us back. But in my opinion, success is driven by making a clear choice and abiding it till the last milestone. That is what my scaler journey is all about. I am a mechanical engineer who worked in a construction industry for 11 years, and then transitioned my way into the IT industry. After doing all the research on how this programme would cater to my needs, I made the decision to join Scaler - thanks to the marketing team that connected me with the right channels to ensure that each and every doubt in my mind was answered! But the more important part is that I worshiped my decision religiously, with no compromises and drove it till the finish line. Needless to say, it was not easy. Many a times, I felt overwhelmed with all the new things coming up. 11 years of my career in a different industry had thrown me in a comfortable zone that was very difficult to resist. But with the right support from my family/friends; a brilliantly structured curriculum that ensured mastery in thay particular topic; mentors who just won our hearts away with their knowledge and teaching skills; and most importantly an approached that never compromised to remain disciplined and consistent, I was able to sustain the battle. Last but not the least, no matter how much effort you give, the chances of conversion are very feeble if the right placement channels are not in place. I must say that the placement cell provided me with a remarkable support until I got a breakthrough.
There's a lot to talk, but in short, I would say that live up to the choices you make, and the hard work always pays off!!
