I am so let down by this course I would never recommend it to anyone. No books, teachers don't show up, and labs/tests do not cover what was learned. The idea is you will learn better when you struggle but when the text is so poorly worded and the ideas... Read More are not written out but only told to you (low if no visual aids) so by the time you spend 5 hours on a typo you feel let down so much you hate the answer you would have gotten if you where instructed well. SSM's at U of M not only had little for me the Student Services Manager literally quested why I was in this class at all (93.5gpa) while ignoring the fact we had a teacher driving while instructing. I regret going to this program and wish deeply I did more review before I took this class.

I've been working in IT for about 10 years and I decided there was more to learn when I saw an ad for UM's cyber program. I ended up enrolling when I met some of the instructors and found out they are also working in the field as well as teaching. I enjoyed... Read More being in a classroom with students of all skill levels and seeing how each of us grew in different ways. My classmates and I graduated with really in-demand skills that are listed on every job posting i go to apply to. I'm already are in the industry but now I have the skills and knowledge to protect and improve the level of IT security any company could need. If you're considering going to school for something in the tech field, I highly reccomend the cyber bootcamp at UM. Tech is the future and someone needs to protect everyone from malicious cyber threats, why not us?
