Course Description: University of Vermont Continuing and Distance Education offers an 20-week, online Coding Certificate bootcamp. Classes meet three evenings per week from 6:30 to 9:30 pm EST and are taught by industry instructors who work as web developers and engineering managers.
University of Vermont Coding Certificate bootcamp students will learn JavaScript, RESTful APIs, test driven development, MVC architecture, Amazon Alexa, DevOps, and AWS. Students will build a portfolio of projects, including a live web application. Bootcamp students will work in small teams led by a designated project mentor to complete an industry project by working as student consultants with a real world company.
Bootcamp students will have access to personalized career coaching for 12 weeks following bootcamp completion. Students will receive help building and growing their professional network and professional mentoring.
University of Vermont Coding Certificate bootcamp students may participate in an Income Share Agreement to make tuition payments after landing a job, pay tuition in installments or upfront at a discounted rate, or finance tuition with a student loan. Coding Certificate bootcamp students will receive a University of Vermont Web Development certificate upon completion.
