I had a great experience at CodingCampus. I left my job of several years in order to change careers. It was scary, but I felt that the staff really made a great effort in helping me learn what was needed to get a good job. With their help, I began interviewing... Read More for junior dev positions about 3/4 of they way through the program and am now receiving offers. I can't say enough about how they really helped me.

As far as cons, there was not a lot of structure early on in the class. I did not mind, and felt that it allowed me freedom to work as I pleased. However, there were a few students that wanted a more structured approach. CodingCampus heard and acted on the complaints, making the course more structured and even adding an additional instructor.

This has truly been one of the best experiences of my life. They are well structured, hard working, supportive, and make sure you get what you pay for. I wish I could be around these people longer than the 12 week course. They truly make you feel valued... Read More and accepted.

I'd done front end development for 10 years before joining Coding Campus to learn the backend development. It was an amazing experience. I learned amazing things, Built Awesome things, and as a result I'm now doing great things. I finished the course... Read More with a slew of interviews, many offering me nearly $20k more than I was previously making as a department manager at another tech company. Ultimately I chose to launch my own company building custom web apps and websites. It's been 8 months and I now employ multiple developers who have allowed me to grow this company into something great. Oh, and our flagship product is a web app I originally built as a Coding Campus student. If you are unsure about a Bootcamp, then to you I say 'Stop being a weenie! Just do it!' ;)

In the spirit of full disclosure, I was hired by Coding Campus after I completed the class, and am currently doing work for both coding campus and their sister development shop Verisage.

Coding Campus was an amazing experience. I had the chance to leave... Read More a career I was less-than-satisfied with (advertising/marketing) and move into a career with much better pay, much higher employment rates, and a lot more satisfaction and avenues into entrepreneurship.

The class is improving by the day. The people who run the class are always looking for ways to improve the curriculum, and we have some pretty lofty goals for making the class top-notch. When I took the class, we spread our time between learning Python as a way for solving practice problems and using it in project work in the Django Framework. We also spend a significant amount of time in the class learning AngularJS, and use it to make a number of single page applications to fill out our portfolio.

On top of that, we spent a day going to a number of companies here in Utah that are actively looking for developers. We toured their facilities, spoke with engineers, had presentations on their products, and had a change to ask as many questions as possible about beginning a career both with that specific company and as a programmer in general.

We've spoken with some of the students that have gone through other big-name bootcamps in San Francisco, and realized that our curriculum sends out even better-prepared students.

I'm still within 6 months of finishing the class, I'm already getting emails from past friends an even total strangers asking if I'll come work for them. I've even gotten an offer from a total stranger belaying next to me at the climbing gym!

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't (isn't) an easy road. It's a technical field, and you definitely have to have the grit it takes to pick yourself up when coding knocks you down. But if you love to solve and debug problems, I can't think of a better career that opens more doors.

Long story short, I didn't know what what I wanted to do in life for the longest time, but knew I liked the idea of being a computer programmer and being able to have a say in whatever company I worked for. I was thinking about going back to college to... Read More get my BS in Computer Science, but with a family it was going to either be very straining on my relationships or take FOREVER! I found out about Coding Campus from a friends blog and told my wife that I was going to take the leap. It was the best decision of my life! I learned the basics of web development and now have a renewed passion for my future. Everyone needs to learn how to code and Coding Campus made it easy to learn.

Coding Campus gave me the building blocks to my future and I'm going to build like crazy!

My name is Heather and I am a perpetual student and am always in some kind of learning situation. After college it was a Masters degree - then a year later it was a 2nd Masters degree... Then it was Real Estate school, mortgage broker school, art school,... Read More and the list goes on, never feeling like I had yet to find my place in life... I finally decided it was time to decide what I wanted 'to be when I grew up' and my brother suggested I try coding. And, although I love computers, I thought he was nuts. He kept on me for about 6 months and in that time the idea sunk in more and more. I called another coding school in Utah and wasn't impressed with the gentleman I spoke with - and to me that is important. I had to call several times, leaving multiple messages and after seven days finally got a response that I was not impressed with.

Then I found Coding Campus. I called the number on the website and not only was it the owner's (Michael Zaro) personal cell phone, but he answered immediately and was the nicest person I have dealt with in a long time. He was knowledgable, kind, funny, and most of all encouraging. Due to my age and having the preconceived notion that most coders are young 'punk' kids I felt intimidated due to being as old as most of their mothers!! Within minutes Michael had allayed my fears and we were laughing and having the nicest conversation.

I am not kidding when I say that ONE PHONE CALL sold me. I thought, "If this is how the head of Coding Campus is, I can't imagine how great the rest of his group would be." And I was right - they are AWESOME! I hung up the phone, filled out the form on the web, and hit SUBMIT. After 6 months of yo-yo'ing, within 30 minutes of that phone call with Michael Zaro I had signed up and was on my way to a career that I am not only finding rewarding, but am in the happiest, most peaceful place I have been in years. I look forward to class each day and can honestly say this is the greatest course/school I have ever attended.

side note: Two people in my class actually flew in from Texas and Florida for the 9 week course - that's how impressed they were!

If anyone wants to learn to learn to code - please don't waste your time looking anywhere else.... Coding Campus in the BEST!!!!!
