Read More that was the only way to do it until I saw an ad on Instagram of Jubee talking about the myths of IT, and that’s how I learned that college isn’t the only way. That’s why I took the program. So far, it’s been a wonderful experience. I call the student community “my family” because it’s something that you can’t even get in a four year college where you have instructors who wants to make sure that you’re getting what you’re being taught. You have students like you who wants to come together and practice after classes, hold their own meetings and hold their own study groups. That has been a great experience. I love how we can ask questions on Slack. Not everybody has that communication platform. I remember when I was in school, there was no platform for me to ask those kind of questions. It’s been a wonderful experience for you to learn and relearn and ask questions and be on the same track, or be on the same page with other classmates. You can reach out to anybody through Slack and you can reach out to other instructors, even the instructors that are not taking your class or your cohort, you can reach out to them and you can see things on the general platform where you can also know what’s going on. It’s been a wonderful experience to learn, to have the memories of things that have been taught, and the encouragements. My instructor is David right now. He’s just fun, and they’re all doing great, but there’s just something about David. I love him. He lets you know that when you keep practicing a hundred thousand times, it becomes a part of you and it encourages you. He brings fun into it. There are other instructors out there who will just talk and talk but David, he brings fun into it. There’s a way he does his thing, and even on the weekends when we have review sessions, he starts off with DJ-ing and music. You want to look forward to classes like that. He makes us to do research together sometimes. The wonderful thing is, all of the instructors are not trying to be like they know it all. They let you see that we’re all also learning together. Even though they know it, they want to carry you along to make you feel, “Oh, we’re learning this together.” They give you tips on how to succeed. The beautiful thing about Yellow Tail Tech is that they have instructors who were students before. Zee was a student before. David was a student before. Each and almost all of them were students before. It just gives you an idea that this person was once in my position before and if they can do it and then you can do it, and they let you know that you can do it as long as you put in the work, you are definitely going to succeed. Yellow Tail Tech has given us all the platforms to be able to succeed and let you know that with this, you don’t even need to take a four year degree college to break into IT. We’ve been seeing people getting jobs and getting their certifications on a daily basis. It just gives you that boost that, I can do it too! Also if you have to go back to the live sessions or if you are late to a class, or you miss a class, or you have to go somewhere, or go to work during class, you know that you can still come back and go back to the learning platform and go to the recorded sessions and re-watch those live classes. Yellow Tail Tech has the best format that I’ve never seen. The lectures, live labs, recorded sessions, plenty study groups options and direct access for any help you may need to get back in track.
