Project managers oversee designated projects on behalf of a company. They typically plan and coordinate tasks and documents with an eye toward meeting set deadlines within specific budgets. They are usually expected to report progress to someone else—often a senior project manager. Efficient tasking and delegation, which may include the use of project management technology, is an essential project management skill. There are a few certifications for this profession, including the popular Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.

According to PayScale, project managers, in general, earn a median annual salary of $73,000. Entry-level project managers with the CAPM certification earn about $66,000. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn’t collect data about project management specifically, but the employment of people in management occupations, in general, is expected to grow by 7% between 2018 and 2028, which is faster than the 5% projected growth across all occupations.

There are a number of coding and general career-change bootcamps that include project management, and some incorporate the CAPM certification. There are also à la carte courses in project management. Below is a list of those, featuring specifics about the course content, the intended audience for each course or bootcamp, and alumni reviews.
