A bootcamp can be a life-changing experience, but covering tuition is a challenge. Bootcamp tuition averages almost $13,000, and most programs aren't eligible for traditional financing like federal student aid.

A growing number of bootcamps offer scholarships to help make tech education more accessible. If you are applying to a coding bootcamp, you'll definitely want to check out our complete list of scholarships. We've compiled over 80 scholarships from top schools to help you launch your career in tech - or just skill up!

App Academy

Facebook is teaming up with App Academy to offer prospective students $500,000 worth of scholarship money to expand diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. With COVID-19 upending a lot of careers, App Academy is excited to offer Facebook’s largest ever coding bootcamp scholarship donation to the next generation of coders.

The Deposit Assistance Program (DAP) allows App Academy's Full-Time course to be more accessible to people from communities historically underrepresented in tech. This can range from race/ethnicity, veteran status, disability, gender, LGBTQ, socio-economic background, age, etc. App Academy will award deposit assistance for up to 5 students per cohort and recipients will be awarded and notified four weeks prior to the start date of the cohort if accepted. Students who are awarded the deposit assistance will be asked to submit their full deposit ($2,000) 3 weeks before the start of the program (with a deferred payment of $26,000). Apply here!

Alchemy Code Labs

Alchemy Code Lab's Diversity in Tech scholarship aims to remove barriers and provide opportunities for women, veterans, LGBT!IA+, and students from racial and ethnic backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in tech. Let them know on your application if you are interested in this scholarship.

The Women Who Code Portland scholarship is awarded quarterly to two women per season. Winners must first apply and obtain acceptance into Alchemy Code Lab's program. Indicate your interest in this scholarship on your application.

Alchemy partnered with HispanicPros to provide two full program scholarships valued at over $20,000 each. Eligible winners must be accepted into Alchemy Code Lab's school program. Please inquire with admissions.

Alchemy Code Lab is an approved partner school with Lesbians Who Tech! The Edie Windsor Coding Scholarship is for new gender nonconforming & LGBTQ women to kickstart careers in technology, and is offered only once per year with applications open in the spring and winners notified in summer.

Eligible winners must be accepted into Alchemy Code Lab's school program and be able to begin their studies within 6 months of notification in the same year awarded (June-Dec).

Winners are selected to receive 50% towards Bootcamp tuition, valued at 4k. Apply here!

Big Nerd Ranch

Big Nerd Ranch offers 10% off tuition with a valid military, school, or educator ID. Alumni also automatically qualify for a 10% discount. Email Big Nerd Ranch for more information.

Bitmaker Labs

Bitmaker is offering a $500 deduction for all women who participate in full-time programming courses at Bitmaker Labs. The Grace Hopper Scholarship is applicable to any women who enroll into either the Web Development or UX + Product Design program.

Bloc

In an effort to increase the number of women in technology-related fields, Bloc is committing $1 million to help self-identifying women pursue their dreams of becoming software developers and designers. Scholarships are awarded based on merit, and recipients will receive up to 25% off tuition.

Bloc partnered with New Relic to create an ongoing scholarship fund to promote diversity in software development and UX design. Each week, two applicants are selected to receive a $500 partial scholarship toward any Bloc program.

Women Who Code and Bloc have partnered to create a scholarship for women. Three women are selected each month for a $1,000 partial scholarship toward any Bloc program.

Bloc recently relaunched this scholarship fund, which allows all active duty, veteran and military spouses to apply for up to 40% off their Bloc program.

Bottega

Bottega offers scholarships ranging from $1,000, to full-tuition for veterans, women, or distinguished persons in financial need. Availability is limited and varies over time.

BrainStation

Designed to empower professionals from design backgrounds with applicable, job-ready digital skills and knowledge.

The Techvibes Entrepreneur in Technology Diploma Scholarship is designed to prepare entrepreneurs and small business owners for the digital economy, empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.

Burlington Code Academy

Burlington Code Academy is offering students a 2-for-1 package: Students who attend BCA's part-time JavaScript After Hours course will be eligible for a $4,000 scholarship, which can be applied to the full-time Web Development Bootcamp starting the following summer.

Claim Academy

Claim Academy has a number of scholarships available for students, including:

• $500 Women in Technology Scholarship
• $1000 College Upgrade Scholarship
• $500 Minority Scholarship
• $500 Veteran Scholarship

Applicants may apply for a maximum of two scholarships. You must apply for, and be accepted into, Claim Academy before being eligible for scholarships.

Code Fellows

Through the Diversity Scholarship, individuals that come from underserved backgrounds that are not well represented in the tech industry are able to apply for scholarships. In addition, Code Fellows offers one full-ride scholarship to a Black American in every cohort.

For individuals that have lost their job as a result of COVID-19.

For individuals looking to change their career and join the tech industry.

For individuals who are underemployed and making less than $35k a year.

For college graduates who have graduated within the prior 24 months and want to find a more rewarding career path.

For individuals who can show they are already making a difference in their community, whether through serving or investing to bring about positive change.

For individuals looking to transfer from a university, college, Bootcamp, or other educational institution.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and the applicant's ability to meet the requirements of the course and scholarship application.

Code Platoon

All admitted veterans and military spouses are eligible for this scholarship, making the out-of-pocket cost $2,500 or less. As of 2018, Code Platoon is also approved for GI Bill eligibility.

Code Platoon also sponsors a Full Scholarship for an extraordinary female veteran for their 14-week Coding Bootcamp.

Code Platoon has introduced a new way to retain the advantages of both in-person training and online learning via a Live-online learning course. Code Platoon offers Full Time Scholarships to two veterans and one military spouse per cohort.

Code Platoon is doing their part in making things equal. Transgender veterans face serious challenges entering the world of software development. In addition to offering great financial aid - thanks to partnerships with wonderful organizations - Code Platoon is offering a full ride to a transgender veteran to help narrow that gap. Plus, Code Platoon will begin accepting the GI Bill in 2018.

Sailors and soldiers on active duty who are transitioning out of active military service may be eligible for the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program (which is also referred to as Career Skills in the Army). We are providing a full tuition scholarship for students who attend through SkillBridge with approval from their unit commander.

MilSpouse Coders is dedicated to empowering military spouses around the globe to find challenging and fulfilling careers in technology. They are providing scholarships for military spouses attending either the in-person program for up to $12,500 tuition or the remote program for the full $15,500 tuition. One scholarship is available per program, per cohort.

This scholarship is awarded to those registered with the National Military Family Association (NMFA) who will attend the in-person program at our campus located in Chicago. Like our CP Veteran and Spouse Scholarship, both veterans and military spouses are eligible. Recipients of this scholarship are awarded up to $12,500 thanks to NMFA.

This scholarship is awarded to those registered with National Military Family Association (NMFA) who will attend the remote program at a different location from our Chicago campus. Like our Remote Attendance Scholarship, both veterans and military spouses are eligible. Recipients of this scholarship are awarded the full $15,500 tuition thanks to NMFA.

CodeCore Bootcamp

Discounts available for women and members of Canadian Forces of $500 off tuition price.

Codesmith

This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition for 10 Black students who attend their Software Engineering Immersive through the end of 2020.

CodeUp

For each Full-Stack immersive program, CodeUp offers $10,000 in scholarships, exclusively to women: with one recipient $5,000, and two recipients $2,500 each.

For each Full-Stack immersive program, CodeUp offers $10,000 in scholarships, exclusively to minorities: with one recipient $5,000, and two recipients $2,500 each.

As an opportunity to thank the brave men and women who have served their country, Codeup offers a $1,000 scholarship to all veterans or dependents enrolling in our program.

Any current or former first-responder who enrolls in CodeUp's Full-Stack program will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Just show you First Responder Certification!

Any applicant identifying as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community can apply for a $1,000 scholarship.

Any student relocating to San Antonio may apply for a $1,000 scholarship. In order to receive this scholarship, students must commit to stay in San Antonio for at least 1 year following their graduation.

Codeworks

In an effort to increase female inclusion in the tech sector, coding bootcamp Codeworks and women in tech community GirlCode have today announced a new partnership providing up to 50 scholarships for women who want to break into the tech sector, totalling £65,000 in funding. Interested parties must register at Girlcode's website and apply before Friday, July 17th, 2020.

Coder Academy

Coder Academy is offering one person per campus the opportunity to receive a subsidy for the Fast Track Bootcamp only. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be eligible.

Coding Dojo

Coding Dojo offers scholarships for diversity in tech, military retaining, and women in tech. Check out these scholarships to see if you are eligible.

Designed for recently graduated high school students wishing to jumstart their career in tech!

This scholarship is indended for processionals wishing to reinvent their career.

Intended to assist military veterans and current servicemen/women to transition their careers to web software development.

Intended for aspiring female computer programmers who require financial assistance to launch their careers.

CodingNomads

As supporters of women in tech, as well as diversity in all workplaces, CodingNomads offers scholarships for both their in person and online courses to aspiring female software engineers.

Are you a veteran seeking career training? CodingNomads wants to give back by offering several scholarships to active and retired military personnel.

This scholarship is intended for people who have the vision and have the motivation, but just lack the funds to get started. The team at CodingNomads has been there, and they get it. To apply, simply tell your story and why you're passionate about learning to code.

CodingNomads is able to keep tuition rates low in part by hosting courses in affordable countries (Bali, Mexico City). To give back they are offering 2 full tuition scholarships for the Bali 2018 coding bootcamp to qualified residents of Indonesia. Learn More!

Coding Temple

Coding Temple offers $500 off for students who are enrolled in college or have graduated with a bachelors degree. If you are working in another industry and are looking to make a career change from the education you have received in College.

To show their respect for serving the USA, Coding Temple would like to honor students with a $500 discount students that have served in the Military.

Women account for less then one-third of employees in the tech space. We want to make it as easy as possible to break the barriers of the gender gap in the industry.

Cornerstone International Community College of Canada

In addition to offering up to $5,545CAD scholarship for our students, Cornerstone College decided to financially support its students by providing an additional $500CAD medical insurance in Canada.

Data Science Dojo

Data Science Dojo offers fellowships to non-profit professionals dedicated to using data science to improve lives. Fellows are not required to become data scientists - they can pursue whatever career they want. To be eligible you must work at a non-profit organization. Fellows receive a $1,000 travel reimbursement in addition to full tuition for a 5-day data science bootcamp.

DevMountain

The DevMountain Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to anyone looking to further their education.

This is a one-time award to assist tomorrow's leaders with their financial responsibilities with regards to furthering their education. Only one winner will be selected out of all applicants per scholarship term. The scholarship can be applied towards DevMountain attendance, but can also be used towards a four-year degree, online learning, trade schools, or any other form of education/learning.

DigitalCrafts

DigitalCrafts offers a Builder's Scholarship to any students with especially inspiring stories. Scholarships are available to all students who submit a completed application and deposit for the course.

DigitalCrafts is proud to offer automatic scholarships to all women and military veterans - no additional application required.

Evolve Security Academy

Evolve Academy offers a number of merit-based partial scholarships (General Scholarships, Veteran Scholarships, Women Scholarships, Minority Scholarships, etc.). Prospective students can apply for a scholarship by including a personal essay when submitting the Bootcamp full application.

Firehose Project

Firehose's Merit Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students based upon their performance within the Fundamentals Course. This scholarship was created to help make a career in web development more accessible to people who demonstrate that they have the potential to excel within a tech-related career. This scholarship may only be applied to the 22-week Full-Stack Web Development Program.

Each month Firehose awards a Diversity Scholarships to assist underrepresented groups transition to technology-related careers. They created this to help make more diverse and representative tech workforce. Elibible applicants include females, or those from an ethnic group underrepresented within the technology industry (Hispanic or Latina(o), Black or African American, Native American, or Pacific Islander). This scholarship may only be applied to the 22-week Full-Stack Web Development Program.

Flatiron School

The Access Scholarship opens doors for aspiring innovators who may have experienced barriers to education. Access Scholarships will invest over $1.5 million in the futures of more than 500 students across all disciplines. The Access Scholarship is a partial scholarship of $1,000. Recipients who are in need of financial assistance (as outlined in the “Other Eligibility” section) may be eligible for an additional $500. Recipients that show excellence in all aspects of the admissions process may be eligible for the maximum scholarship of $2,000.Scholarships are limited and are available to 35–50 students per month across all campuses and online.

To date, Flatiron School has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to make a life-changing tech education more accessible to aspiring female programmers across their many disciplines. The Women Take Tech Scholarship is designed for new enrollees in Flatiron School programs globally. Flatiron School has allocated $200,000 dollars from our scholarship budget to equip women recipients with the education and skills necessary to obtain a job in the information technology workforce. Flatiron School will cover between $1,000 to $2,000 for each scholarship recipient in the form of a tuition credit, depending on program and eligibility requirements.

Fullstack Academy

Fullstack Academy and 1871, Chicago's largest and most important tech incubator, have partnered to award $250,000 in scholarships. All admitted students to Fullstack Academy's Chicago campus will automatically get a $2,000 scholarship.

Galvanize

Galvanize offers two full scholarships per cohort. All applicants accepted to a Galvanize Immersive are eligible.

Depending on the applicant's financial need, this scholarship covers up to 100 percent of tuition to either immersive program. If an applicant is eligible to receive G.I. Bill™ benefits, they may be able to use that benefit in addition to the Veterans Scholarship.

General Assembly

General Assembly, a pioneer in tech education and career transformation, are awarding one U.S. veteran the Semper Doctrina scholarship. This exciting opportunity covers tuition costs for any of GA's hands-on, part-time courses in coding, data, design, digital marketing, or product management. Submit your application today, and you could win a chance to learn these critical skills for a future in tech at no cost.

Grand Circus

The following groups automatically qualify for a tuition discount of $1,500: Veterans, anyone who identifies as a woman, African Americans, Chicano or Latino people, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, LGBTQ.

Grand Circus is proud to offer the DEVELOP(her) Scholarship at both our Detroit and Grand Rapids campus. Through the generosity of TEKsystems, we will be able to offer 20 partial scholarships to women throughout 2019. Contact Grand Circus for details about 2020 scholarship availability.

Grand Circus is offering scholarships to professionals impacted by recent automotive industry layoffs.

GreyCampus

GreyCampus launched the Women In Tech Scholarship Program for deserving women willing to pursue their career in Data Science or Full Stack Development. Scholarships worth $150,000 are available for 100 women around the world who are ready to go through either of the 6-month long immersive programs.

Hackbright Academy

Reddit has partnered with Hackbright to award $150,000 in coding scholarships to women seeking admission to the Full-Time and Part-Time Software Engineering Programs. Scholarships will be awarded based on a variety of criteria, including, but not limited to: need, technical expertise, and belonging to part of a group that has been historically underrepresented in STEM (ex. Black, LatinX, American Indian, LGBTQ+, first generation, and/or people with disabilities).

Hackbright Academy will award two $8,000 scholarships to phenomenal women who demonstrate incredible technical ability and dedication to pursuing a software engineering career.

Hack Reactor

Hack Reactor teamed up with Optimizely to offer a full tuition scholarship for 3 underrepresented students at Hack Reactor's San Francisco campus. The scholarship also includes a living stipend of $1,500 per month and an internship at Optimizely post-graduation.

This scholarship is available for veterans or active members of the Reserves or National Guard who demonstrate financial need. Applicants will need to provide military documentation to verify scholarship eligibility. See below for program eligibility.

Helio Training

Helio Training is committed to current and past service men and women. They appreciate all men and women who have served the United States, and offer a $1,000 scholarship for all active duty, reserve, and veterans of the U.S. Military for full-time programs, and a $500 scholarship towards part-time programs.You must provide proof of military service during the enrollment process to be eligible for this scholarship.

Helio Training offers scholarships to women who are passionate about learning software development. Each calendar year up to 10 women entering the tech industry will be awarded with a Women in Technology Scholarship. Scholarships are available for $1,000 for full-time bootcamps and $500 for part-time bootcamps.

Insight Data Science

Insight Data Science offers Fellowship programs that are all completely tuition-free. Insight Fellows learn cutting-edge data science and engineering technology through project-based learning and are mentored by industry leaders and data scientists from top teams. Plus, ‍if you are accepted in to the in-person program, you will be eligible to apply for a need-based scholarship.

If you are invited to participate in the in-person program, you will be eligible to apply for a need-based scholarship, which is intended to cover some of the costs of living, but not all of the costs. This scholarship could also fund relocation expenses and other essential day-to-day living needs.

Juno College

Juno College offers over $250,000 in need-based scholarships every year - to make their Web Development courses accessible to anyone who wants to continue into Bootcamp and make a career change.

• Students who complete the part-time Web Development course are eligable to recieve a $2,000 scholarship if accepted to Juno's Web Development Immersive Bootcamp.
• Students who have taken both part-time Web Development and part-time JavaScript are eligable to recieve a combined scholarship of $3,000 if accepted to the Web Development Immersive Bootcamp.
• If you've taken the Digital Skills for Beginners course at Canada Learning Code students can recieve $250 off of their tuition to Juno's part-time or accelerated Web Development course.

Lambda School

The Lambda School Backend Program Opportunity Scholarship was created to make careers in tech more financially accessible for aspiring women, Black, Latinx, and Native American software engineers. Lambda School is providing $250,000 in scholarships to advance equitable pathways to technical careers.This scholarship is applicable to the Enterprise Backend Development program only and cannot be applied to any other Lambda School program.

LEARN Academy

LEARN academy is offering scholarships to full time coding bootcamp course of your choice. Scholarships are available to women and minorities, as well as low-income applicants.

Level Bootcamp

Level is offering five women the chance to earn a $3,000 scholarship towards the Level Data Analytics Core program, or a $1,500 scholarship towards the Level Data Analytics Set program. To qualify for a WIT scholarship, simply complete an application to Level Bootcamp and fill out the Women in Tech scholarship here.

LearningFuze

Redwood Code Academy

RCA has partnered with several Orange County based businesses to offer this merit based scholarship to students enrolling in their 2018 Full Stack Immersion cohorts.

To qualify for this scholarship, you must submit an application, attend an interview and be selected as one of the 5 students who best exemplify the following qualities:

• Has enthusiasm for the technology industry
• Has the motivation to become a top developer
• Has a willingness to participate in the broader OC tech community

RCA offers the Women Who Code Scholarship to women who show the drive and dedication it will take to complete our 12 week full time program.

RCA also offers a Veteran scholarship for qualified US military Veterans. Redwood is founded and operated by a USMC veteran who understands the difficulty in a civilian life transition, and they want to make it easier to break into tech.

Springboard

Springboard wants to help veterans launch fulfilling post-military careers. Kickstart your transition with a scholarship of up to $750.

To help make gender parity in the tech industry a reality, Springbaord is offering scholarships of up to $750 to women.

Springboard is offering current college students scholarships of up to $300 toward career-focussed tech courses that complement their schooling.

Tech Elevator

Tech Elevator is committed to diversity within our classrooms and proud to offer scholarships to historically underrepresented groups creating greater accessibility to careers in technology. To be eligible, all scholarship applicants must be accepted and enrolled in an upcoming cohort at any Tech Elevator location.

Tech Talent South

Tech Talent South is a woman-owned code school. Getting women into the technology scene is a BIG deal to this crew! TTS's team is dedicated to uplifting driven and inspiring women in their journey of learning to code and gaining new skills. Need a little extra help learning these skills? The Software Guild

The Software Guild believes more people from diverse backgrounds should have the opportunity to begin exciting careers in technology. Together, The Software Guild and mthree are offering the Aspire 1000 Scholarship - a free, tutor-led, online training course to give you all the tools you need to be an effective technologist in a corporate environment. They will teach you the appropriate professional development and business skills to enter an organization and hit the ground running from day one. And finally, they will help you land that dream role in tech through our career services. They work with organizations that understand having a diverse tech workforce is the way that they will succeed, and your success is the way to make that happen.

The Code Louisville award grants a $1,000 discount on Software Guild tuition to qualifying Code Louisville attendees. Students qualify based on self-identification.

This scholarship aims to provide increased opportunity for women to pursue tech careers is important to The Software Guild and to American industry. This $2,000 award is available to all female enrollees. Female students qualify based on self-identification.

To help veterans and active duty military transition to a career in IT, The Software Guild is now offering a $2,000 Veterans Who Code award. This award is available to eligible military personnel in the following groups: reservists, veterans, and/or active-duty service members. To qualify for the award, students must present proof of eligibility defined as military original statement of service or certificate of release or discharge.

Thinkful

Thinkful currently offers scholarships to self-identifying women who enroll in our Web Development Bootcamp. This includes a $600 scholarship for women for our Flexible Web Development Bootcamp and a $1200 scholarship for women for Full-time Web Development Bootcamp.

GCU Bootcamp

GCU Coding Bootcamp offers many scholarships and grants to the Undergraduate Certificate of Completion in Java Programming. Campus scholarships are available for traditional students who take courses on our main campus.

High School Student Scholarships may be available to you if you graduated high school between December of the previous calendar year and June of the calendar year in which you wish to enroll.

GCU Coding Bootcamp offers many scholarships and grants to the Undergraduate Certificate of Completion in Java Programming. Campus scholarships are available for traditional students who take courses on our main campus.

Nexul Academy

All women automatically qualify.

Qualifying minority individuals automatically qualify for this scholarship; Qualifying minority groups currently include African Americans, American Indians/Alaska Natives, and Latinos; Others may qualify.

Graduates qualify within one-year from high school, college, or tech-school graduation, or by attaining a GED. Proof of attainment within the 12-month period before enrolling is required to receive the scholarship.

U.S. Veterans in good standing automatically qualify for this scholarship. Proof of veteran status is required.

V School

V School's goal is to help the women and men who have served our country build new careers in the tech industry while transitioning back into civilian life during the pandemic and economic uncertainty.

The You Belong in Tech Scholarship to help displaced workers reskill for a career in the tech industry. This is available for people of color, women, LGBTQ+, refugees, veterans, and those facing financial hardships.

We Can Code It

We offer The Brian T. Forsythe Social Equity Award to help diversify the tech industry. Our scholarship awards up to $1,000 to women, African American, Latinx, and Native American students who qualify. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and U.S. Veterans are also eligible. We also offer this award to those whose income in the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount.

Applied towards your tuition if you are a member of an underrepresented group in tech.

Applied towards your tuition if your family's income from the previous year does not exceed 150% of poverty guidelines.

Wyncode

Wyncode Academy has a $1.4 million scholarship commitment to promote increased female involvement in technology. The scholarships will allow females to build technical foundations in the areas of computer coding, user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design, and digital marketing, ultimately building long-term meaningful careers in technology. Wyncode is excited to announce with the Knight Foundation the Future Leaders of Tech scholarship. One Future Leader of Tech scholar is selected by a Wyncode hiring partner for each cohort. The selection includes a full Wyncode scholarship followed by a three month paid internship at the local hiring partner. Wyncode focuses on applicants who:

• Come from traditionally underrepresented groups in technology, with an emphasis on women and people of color
• Do not have a 4-year college degree
• Have an average salary under $50,000 if providing for a family or $30,000 if single.
• Are legally authorized to work in the United States.
