Community
Devmountain courses are in-person. Students work individually and together to accomplish projects in a real-world setting. Devmountain’s Utah campus offers a unique program that places iOS, UX, and QA students together in collaborative groups to launch an app in the App Store by the end of the bootcamp.
Career Support
Career support is available to every student and includes resume workshopping, employer networking, and interview preparation. This is baked into the immersive bootcamp experience.
Affordability
Devmountain’s courses are competitively priced and tuition financing is available through third-parties.
Application Process
The application process consists of three parts, including filling out an application, participating in a phone consultation, and completing a skill review. The purpose of this process is to help students discover if the bootcamp experience and specific course is a good fit for them or not.

"Such an amazing experience"
I've learned more in the last 3 months than I ever could have imagined. Not only everything I need to know to be successful in the tech industry, but I've also learned a ton about myself and my ability to do hard things. I have learned how to learn, and... Read More

"Accelerated Education"
DevMountain offers an accelerated education one that cannot be found at most colleges or can be found after 4 painstaking years of education. This program wasn't easy by any means, however it was well worth the money. The ability to code is a remarkable... Read More

"One of the best decisions of my life."
The only regret I have about DevMountain is not doing it sooner. I'm over thirty and just a few months ago I was thinking that I'd be stuck in sales forever. Thanks to some friends, I heard about DevMountain and the rest is history.
I had no prior coding... Read More
DevMountain really focuses on learning through building. You spend about 3 hours of your day in lecture and then about 5 hours building something using the principles you covered in lecture. Expect to put in an extra 4 hours on top of the 9 to 5 to finish the projects as well as do your readings for the next day's lecture. The instructors, for the most part, are awesome. My main instructor had more than 10 years of experience in development and he really had a gift for presenting the infomation in a digestable way. They also bring in DevMountain grads from companies around the valley who come in and lecture on technologies that they use in the industry. I learned more about WebDevelopment in these 3 months than I learned about advertising with my 4-year college degree.
The social aspect is great as well. Going through a bootcamp forges bonds between students in a way that few other places can. I have met people that I will stay in touch with for a long time to come.
As far as employment goes, I graduated less than a month ago and I've already taken an offer from a local tech company here in Utah County. The curriculum at DevMountain really helped me learn the technologies this company works in so it was a perfect fit.
I don't want to sound like I drank the kool-aid, but I credit DevMountain with changing my life. In three months I learned enough to start in an industry where I can eventually make 6 figures vs the mid-5 figures I would struggle to make using my degree. I can't recommend DevMountain enough.

"Fufilling"
As a bootcamp they teach you how to work hard. I learned more life and career lessons from these past 3 months than I ever did from my bachelor's degree. I left with a lot of confidence in my ability to code.

"Not what I expected and more"
Before I started the DevMountain Web Developer Immersive I had some basic HTML and CSS experience. I struggled to understand the pre-course assignments and didn't realize that I was suppose to start taking Javascript courses prior to starting the program.... Read More
The bootcamp covers an insane amount of material in a very short period of time. I expected to spend extra hours working and programming and I was on campus from 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, regularly. I felt like I should have spent more time but I have a family and wanted to see them a little during the bootcamp. I knew I would spend a lot of time working and programming during the bootcamp. Learning HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Node, SQL, Angular and React inside of 13 works exceeding my expectations. However, one of the core concepts that was "taught" was to research and figure out how to find solutions to problems on the web. This skill was not taught. We were never really shown how to search for solutions or how to understand the solutions once they were found. It felt like the class material taught the basics but the problems and assessments covered additional material that should have been discovered and learned along the way. This was a huge source of frustration, especially in the early weeks of the course when I was just learning how to code. I would spend enormous amounts of time trying to get some code to work and I didn't know if I had just missed a semi-colon or had the entire concept wrong.
Since I've just graduated I can't really comment on the Job Support yet. We were given some great advice in the final days of the bootcamp. Some of their suggestions to implement in the job search would have been helpful a little sooner in the course.
Overall, I am happy with the bootcamp. I was forced to focus and learn how to code and I have developed several amazing skills in just 13 weeks. There were some things I would have changed or improved but I would certainly recommend the bootcamp to anyone else interested in learning to code and becoming a web developer.

"BEST.DECISION.EVER"
After researching dozens of coding boot camps, both online and immersive, I narrowed the field to about half a dozen, visited each of the campuses and after carefully weighing the options, decided to attend DevMountain.
Coming to DevMountain was the BEST.DECISION.EVER.... Read More
Attending a boot camp is not easy! Don't kid yourself when you think that putting in 9-5 for a few months is going to get you a job offer. You will get out what you put in. Late nights, early mornings and tons of coding and studying!
One of the strengths of DevMountain is the staff. The instructors, guest lecturers, and mentors are all there to help! Relying on them for help was key to my success. But they don't hold your hand. I was expected to do my research before asking help. My mentors were really good about pointing me in the right direction, showing me where to find the right documentation or teaching me how to ask the right questions.
More than anything, leaving DevMountain gave me the confidence to learn something new quickly. Prior to DevMountain, I worked in real estate and construction. I had never coded before in my life. The skills and network you gain from DevMountain are worth more than just the cost of admissions.
After graduating, I stayed on as a mentor for the next cohort of students. I got a chance to pull back the curtain and see the boot camp from 'other side.' Not only did I see the care that goes into the lectures, but I also saw the commitment of the staff. It isn't just the teachers that have your back, it is everyone.
Now? I just received my first official job offer as a Software Engineer! Thank you DevMountain for everything! You've changed my life and helped me give my family a better future!
BEST.DECISION.EVER.

"Legitimately life-changing"
Without a trace of exaggeration, DevMountain changed my life.
I was looking for a career change about the time that some friends of mine shared their own success stories with me. Both had attended DevMountain, worked their butts off, become student-instructors,... Read More
The pace and curriculum is tough. It's important that you know that. They try to teach you in 12 weeks what a normal CS program might cover in 4 years. It's hard, and if you want to succeed you have to put in the time. I'm talking 10-14 hour days, or more. That probably sounds hard, and you might balk at that, but think about it: if you're going to pay a chunk of change to spend 12 weeks in a course that could open up an entirely new career path for you, don't you want to learn everything you can? Of course you do. If you come to DevMountain, my advice is: Commit to it. Think of your time here as an investment in yourself, and I guarantee you wont regret it. Most students I know who have worked hard at DevMountain find development jobs within a month or two. Those who work particularly hard and are selected to be Mentors find outside employment even faster. Employers love teaching experience.
Plus, coding is an incredible skill. How big are computers these days? How important is the web to the success of modern businesses? This is a field that is not going anywhere anytime soon, my friends. This is a solid investment. Plus, coding is awesome. Have you ever used an App that just didn't work very well, or didn't do exactly what you wanted it to do? Boom. Say goodbye to those days. Once you know how to code you can sit down and make something yourself. Design your own App for desktops, laptops or even mobile devices. Configure them to do exactly what you need. It's incredibly gratifying and liberating to be able to design your own programs.
If you're looking to change careers and you want something exciting, varied, and with a certainty of future applicability, Web Development is the field for you, and DevMountain is the education you need to get your foot in the door.
