When we had any questions about the course or career path, they all were very willing to provide advice or share their own stories with us. One of the best things is we can make good use of the design thinking on the given realist project, which I think was precious work since it’s not easy to work on a realistic project as a non-employed staff of that company. Learning through every meeting with clients and group mates can understand more what UX is in society. Overall, I think it’s a worthy experience for me.

This course is perfect for UX beginners. I have learned the IBM design thinking skills and procedures that are focusing on the users. Therefore I would like to take this experience design course to meet some partners to build something and make something go forward. During the lessons, I meet the facilitators who give their time and what they can do to us as much as possible. I did a reflection with one of the facilitators until late at night at 2:00 a.m. I step out of my comfort zone to do user interviews with many people who are not so close. After the transformation and reflection. I finally understand which is user-driven development. Right now, I would like to start a project from an interview and then create a quick prototype to prove the idea can solve the user pain point.

It was an amazing journey and eye-opening experience in design thinking and UX design combining methodology, team works and the real project through the six weeks UX design course. What I also thoroughly enjoyed was having in-person classes with alumni of previous cohorts working as learning facilitators to help guide us and advise us throughout the process. By the end of the course, you feel like you’re part of a community, not just with your classmates but with all of the other cohorts and Michael, our professor, which really fosters an environment of support, idea sharing and continuous guidance. Although I find the course challenging and fast-paced, and with lots of coding practice which you won't get bored of! (as I have no background in statistics and machine learning), but these sessions are truly fruitful and learned a lot of basic concepts to help me go even further in the data science path. Overall, if you want to be a data scientist or analyst it is definitely a great course to go for!
