At Savvy Coders, we see the massive hiring demand in the field of Cybersecurity. The curriculum emphasizes both technical and soft skills, helping students craft resumes, LinkedIn profiles, elevator pitches and receive job placement support. Our program offers an in-depth look at Cybersecurity and Operations from the ground up. The course is taught by professionals in the Cyber community and is broken down into 4 units. Our classes are instructor-led in either a small, in-person classroom or virtual classroom. This program is taught at an accelerated pace so that after just 20 weeks, students can tackle many of the basics needed to start them on a path towards a career in Cybersecurity.

Every class will focus on what one needs to know (and nothing they don’t). Unit 1: Introduction to Cybersecurity Embark on your journey with a strong foundation. Unit 1 introduces you to the core concepts of Cybersecurity. Unravel the intricacies of common cyber attacks and discover strategies to fortify your digital world. Engage in hands-on labs that shed light on exploiting security vulnerabilities, providing a taste of real-world challenges. Unit 2: Unveiling Hardware and Computers Dive deeper into the heart of technology. Unit 2 unveils the inner workings of computers and their hardware components. Get acquainted with prominent operating systems like Windows and Linux. Harness the power of virtualization through virtual machines (VMs), and master essential command-line skills. By the end of this unit, BIOS menus and Secure Shell (SSH) connections will hold no secrets. Unit 3: Mastering Operating Systems and Scripting Elevate your skills with practical expertise. Unit 3 delves into malware removal, disk partitioning, and software updates. Immerse yourself in firewall protocols, Task Manager intricacies, and effective system backup strategies. Gain proficiency in scripting using Powershell and Bash, enabling you to automate tasks with finesse. Unit 4: Navigating Networking, Pentesting, and Advanced Topics Discover the cutting-edge facets of Cybersecurity. Unit 4 empowers you with tools to explore, analyze, and secure digital landscapes. Work with Cisco Packet Tracer and Wireshark to delve into networking intricacies and traffic analysis. Unlock the power of Python for both offense and defense. Learn to tackle ransomware threats and unravel the complexities of security in the cloud, Windows Server, and Active Directory. Unit 4 will also focus on cloud infrastructure and security on platforms like Azure and AWS. Embark on the journey of penetration testing (pentesting) and gain insights into fortifying digital infrastructure.

Course Description:

The theory of data analytics has become increasingly popular and important with the ever-increasing amount of information that is being accumulated on a daily basis. Savvy Coders, in response to this need for more knowledge about how to use data effectively, offers an intensive 12-week course focused primarily on learning everything there is to know about analyzing big datasets efficiently.

The curriculum emphasizes both technical and soft skills, helping students craft resumes, LinkedIn profiles, elevator pitches and receive job placement support. The curriculum is divided into 2 units. Unit 1 of our program focuses on Python and SQL. It includes a deep dive into Python data types, debugging, turtles, modules, recursion, functions, algorithms, tables and strings among others. Unit 2 takes the Python and SQL knowledge gained in Unit 1 and applies it to large data sets to extract information and explains it in a clear and concise manner. Using Pandas, NumPy, and other data visualization techniques, students will prepare and present a Capstone Project to demonstrate the knowledge gained during the course.

Throughout the cohort, students will meet with our placement team to work on resume and LinkedIn creation and interview techniques, as well as develop other job seeking skills. The curriculum emphasizes both technical and soft skills, helping students craft resumes, LinkedIn profiles, elevator pitches and receive job placement support.

Week 1-4: Foundations and Front-End Proficiency Essential Tools: Begin your journey by mastering industry-leading tools such as Visual Studio Code, version control systems, and command-line interfaces. Web Basics with Markdown: Learn Markdown for clear documentation and project notes. Responsive Design: Use HTML and CSS to create responsive and attractive layouts.

Week 5-8: Advanced Front-End Techniques and Intro to Backend Dynamic Interactions with JavaScript: Explore JavaScript in-depth, improving user interfaces with DOM manipulation and managing data effectively. API Consumption and Management: Learn to retrieve and utilize data from external APIs, a key skill for dynamic web applications. Single Page Applications: Progress to building seamless single-page applications that provide excellent user experiences. Agile Methodologies: Learn and apply Agile principles using tools like Jira to manage projects effectively.

Week 9-12: Full-Stack Development, Testing, and AI Integration Node.js and MongoDB: Develop the skills to build solid backend systems with Node.js and manage databases with MongoDB. Testing and QA Fundamentals: Learn the basics of testing and quality assurance to ensure your applications are reliable and bug-free. Incorporating AI with Langchain: Discover the integration of AI capabilities using Langchain, enabling you to add intelligent chat features to your applications. LLM Chat Features: Implement basic chat capabilities using large language models, improving the interactivity and engagement of your web applications.
