Cost: €999
Duration: 10 weeks
Locations: Amsterdam
In-person Only
Course Description:

What you'll learn: During this 10-week intensive program, you will learn to build complex websites and even multiplayer games with databases, APIs, and modern front-end technology. We teach you the latest and greatest technologies most senior developers have not even worked with yet – or at least not as intensively as you will. We aim to teach you technologies, tools, and approaches that development teams around the world are looking to implement.

These are the technologies & tools we teach: HTML5 & CSS3 Programming & Algorithms SQL Databases JavaScript & jQuery Test Driven Development Building APIs NodeJS and ES6/7 Syntax React with Redux Service Based Architecture Realtime Multiplayer Games with WebSockets Native iOS & Android Apps with React.

A typical learning day (Online platforms added for remote learners):

Recap
Refreshing the knowledge you gathered the day before, so that you can start the day all pumped

Check-in (Zoom or Discord)
Taking attendance and starting the day together

Live coding session (Zoom)
This is where you go through what you will learn that day. We believe in learning by doing, but you need to be familiar with the concepts first, this is what you will have during the live coding sessions. We don’t send you out to the wild world of coding without any previous support.

Learning by doing (Reader)
After the session, it is your time to learn by processing through our reader. Don’t worry, we don’t let your hands go here either. Our reader contains little instructional videos as well and our teachers will be available to jump in and help.

When you get stuck (Slack/Discord)
No need to worry about this either, because if you feel like you have a unique problem that you cannot seem to solve, you can always have a call with one of the teachers, share the screen and find and get rid of those nasty bugs together.

Group projects (Discord/Slack)
The learning by doing does not stop at your own screen. We believe in the huge added value of group projects and that is why you will have to cooperate in some weeks. We will assign you a group of 2-3 classmates and you will have to develop a cool app together. Teachers are available to help the whole time, but you can learn so much from each other that we do not want to take that chance from anyone.

During the whole day (Discord)
As expressed many times, we know that providing the proper channel for asking questions any time is vital. Therefore the teacher of the day will be available the whole day to answer your questions and you will even get a chance to listen in on what your classmates are asking.

Requirements: Our Academy starts with the one-week Admissions Training Camp. No technical background is required to join. At the end of the week, you'll be evaluated on your motivation, progress and technical skills to determine if you continue in the No Cure - No Pay or Pay Upfront model. We believe that a strong motivation and dedication are the biggest drivers for success. The Admissions Training Camp is a good indicator of how you’ll perform for the rest of the Academy. All of our classes are taught in English. You should be able to effortlessly participate in both technical and non-technical discussions and read and understand technical materials.

When can you apply: Anytime! A new class starts every 3 weeks, so when you apply via our website, you can choose the best starting date for you based on your availability and preferences.

Subjects:
CSS, HTML, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Test-Driven Development (TDD), React.js, SQL, Node.js, iOS, JavaScript, Android

"The Future"

I took the course and loved it's intense pace and friendly environment. Then I graduated and got a job relatively quickly (in my case I wasn't even looking for one). So it is great for that.

I was one of the first courses (3rd I believe) and I stuck around... Read More

I see a bright future in this academy and I recommend you be part of what learning should be like. You might even see me around at advanced class.

"Getting job ready in 2 months"

When you start programming for the first time, things are really hard. There's so much information out there, and to not get overwhelmed is really hard.

At Codaisseurs development bootcamp, you get an package that's build for people who are starting. You... Read More

The fact that you're with a group of other people who are working their asses off doing the same thing, is really cool. It's also really helpfull that post-bootcamp, that community of teachers and students is still there to help you out.

I loved my instructors, they know what you're going through and will help you when you get stuck. Not by giving you the answer, but by pushing you in the right direction.

I would recommend everyone with interest in programming to join Codaisseurs bootcamp. You will not be disappointed.

"Probably one of the best decisions I've ever made"

Programming is something I've had an interest in for a while, but I found that online learning didn't really get me to where I needed to be (employed!). When I saw the Codaisseur program online, I signed up immediately for the March cohort (after digging... Read More

Other reviews give details of the curriculum (Ruby/Rails, Javascript/React, essentially), so I won't go into great detail but, suffice to say, there's some cutting edge stuff there, the teachers were excellent and the reader (online course materials) is a really valuable resource to refer back to.

After completing the course, I found it quite easy to set up some interviews and accepted a position that I'll be starting next week (i.e. 5/6 weeks after the end of the course) with a company that saw me presenting at the end-of-course demo night.

If you're considering signing up, remember that this is an intensive course. It will take up all your time for 2 months and you will be challenged (so start doing some preparatory work now!).

I would not hesitate to recommend Codaisseur to someone who is committed to becoming a web developer.

"Excellent boot camp"

This was probably the best decision I ever made. I really enjoyed the boot camp. The teachers are great, and the curriculum includes all the basics and more. It's definitely not easy, but that's also its strength. It gave me a very strong foundation and... Read More
