The Job Hackers provided a free, first-class learning experience that prepared me... Read More for the PSM I, exceeded my expectations and introduced me to a tremendously helpful community of motivated professionals. While the core curriculum would benefit from the addition of some more interactive facilitation techniques (Larry's methods consist of almost entirely of presentation followed by Q&A), the content is expansive and practical. I do strongly recommend that anyone participating in TJH sign up for the optional in-person meetups/activities or some other supplemental opportunity to actually practice SCRUM ceremonies as that will ground the course in lived experience that more closely resembles the work environment. Thanks to The Job Hackers course, I was able to identify places where my previous teams had, in retrospect, modified SCRUM roles or colored outside the lines, and then to reflect on why. That let me bring way more insight and a day-1 framework to a new product manager position. If you're looking for a first-class professional skills upgrade during a period of unemployment or under-employment, or a are looking to make a switch in roles, The Job Hackers will save you $2000 and teach you a ton. Highly recommend this class for anyone who is curious about Agile philosophy and the Scrum framework within software development and/or other applications. I wanted to take this class to continue to flex my grey matter and learn something outside the usual EA subject matter. This class taught me how to look at projects and event management with a new lens. Understanding how people are leaders and management... Read More does not always dictate the flow of success. The moderators keep an eye on the chat, answer questions while the international and domestic cohort members adds a different point of view that is based on their experience, or just post questions to dive deeper. The volunteers of the program are very educated in their fields and have a way of connecting and engaging with everyone. The best part of the program is the community and network that is organic and an overall excellent use of my time and energy. I attended every class with coffee in hand and found it was an invorgating way to start my day. Without hesitation, I would suggest and promote this class from the rooftops!

I got so much more than preparation for a scrum master certification. With the topics of Constraints Theory, Cognitive Bias, Multiple Mindsets, and Systems Thinking I have a much better understanding of how "Work" in the Knowledge World differs from "Work"... This course is a very comprehensive coverage of Agile. Larry covers everything you need to learn to take the standard tests and find work. If you are not in the Agile world you will understand the concepts of Agile and how to apply them in your own world.... Read More Larry is a great Leader and coach for leaders. You will learn a lot about understanding, motivating and helping teams of Knowledge Workers to become very efficient and effective teams. You will also walk away with a list of books, references and articles to help you keep on growing in your career. The class is designed to keep you awake and excited at 7:30am (Silicon Valley time) with lectures, discussions, exercises and video clips. I was always sad that the hour and a half are over. If you do not care about Agile take this class to learn about teaching adults and keeping them engaged. In addition to the excellent learning environment, you join a great family of professionals in the Knowledge area, the Job Hackers. The Job Hackers are a great source of information, friendship and support.
