"Learnt the skills needed, but cannot put in practice, yet"
I’m a graphic designer looking for a career change so I took the ux design course, hoping to gain insights to the world of ux design.
Pros: Tutor covered a lot about design thinking, research and interview skills. Critical skills for becoming UX researcher.... Read More
We did small in class activities for each skill, share ideas and give each other feedbacks, which were useful.
Cons: Classmates worked on individual projects, we did not have time to jointly finish a real UX project together.
I wish we can work on a real life example because many of the syllabus were theories, and theories only works better when put to practice, I.e. a real user interview, a real usability test etc.
Hi Sophia, thank you for your comments. Welcome to explore more in our Slack community where you can get help on your personal projects!

"A Great Starter"
Didn’t like:
I think it would’ve been nice if the class followed 1 project together and applied the lessons as we learn it. From creating a problem statement to actually doing a usability test. Lots of what was taught was mainly concepts with examples.... Read More
Liked:
The concepts taught by April were up to date. You’ll be sure the next time you go for a UX talk/interview/discussion, you’ll know what their talking about.
I really like the seat works. Everytime we finish a topic, we’ll be given the chance to interact with each other and try solving problems together.
The amount of experience you’ll gain from the class really depends on how much you put on your UX case study project. I must say, April’s guidance for finishing the project was outstanding. I didn’t have that much experience in making one, so her teachings and constructive feedbacks really helped implement my work. Thanks April!
Conclusion:
If you’re new to the field and is interested to learning UX design. Then this course will bootstrap you there.
Happy learning everyone
