The Chainshot team is top-notch and the people you meet in your cohorts will become colleagues. As a recent graduated, I am sad it is over, but excited for the future!

If you're struggling with a problem, he's extremely patient and provides thoughtful/useful advice. The TA for our cohort, Alvaro, was available nearly each weekend for unofficial office hours and is also an incredibly helpful resource. Cody, who oversees onboarding and operations, is also incredibly knowledgable, and is always available to assist with any operations-related challenges. While the bootcamp does not guarantee job placement post-graduation, the team does provide extensive resources to help graduates gain exposure to the budding blockchain job market. I really appreciate the relatively light focus of job placement, and heavy focus on content, as the latter is of course the more important of the two. From a course content perspective, once again ChainShot is unmatched. The curriculum is structured in a way that provides a holistic view of the web3 space, taking participants on a journey from high level concepts of blockchain and cryptography to the deep nuances of the EVM and Solidity. The amazing thing about this journey is how seamlessly you transition and build from concept to concept, in a coherent manner that enables bootcamp participants to follow along in a step-wise fashion without becoming overwhelmed. From a technical perspective, Chainshot provides an extremely powerful collaborative editing environment that they built in house. The cohort leveraged this platform many times a week to solve interesting solidity/web3 problems together. I found this to be an extremely effective way to learn the content in a collaborative manner. Lastly, from a pricing perspective, the bootcamp is an absolute steal. There is no other bootcamp that even comes close to offering a similar price for the same experience & breadth/depth of content. I highly recommend this bootcamp for anyone interested in Ethereum/Solidity/Web3. You will walk away with a whole new skillset and appreciation!

Starting with the different types of cryptography and how they work, going all the way though Solidity from the basics to full scale dApp deployment, and topping it off with some DeFi fundamentals. Overall I would recommend this bootcamp to anyone interested in developing on Ethereum.

Read More a stretch for me, but I have to admit that I found the speed at which new blockchain protocols are coming out and existing protocols are upgrading to be a bit overwhelming. Where did I want to start to dip my toes in? I needed a well-thought our curriculum and structure to my learning. Enter Chainshot. What the Chainshot Ethereum Bootcamp course achieves is nothing short of phenomenal. The bootcamp curriculum is very hands on and applied. It is spot on and always being updated (eg: the new Uniswap V3: check!, L2s on Ethereum: check!, etc...). The curriculum builds up from the fundamental building blocks of the cryptographic primitives that make blockchain possible all the way to NFTs for those with an interest in Bored Apes. On top of having an outstanding curriculum, Chainshot managed to basically merge a Comp Sci 101 level class with 201, 301 and 401 levels. I have no idea how they pulled this off, but they found the sweet spot. The entire cohort environment is very supportive, with students helping each other debug issues when someone gets stuck, rooting each other's projects on, etc... And then upon graduation, you enter Chainshot's alumni network, which is no joke. Their alumni network are out there building things now as we speak. You not only learn blockchain, but you will become a part of the blockchain community and have a foot planted firmly into the blockchain world with lots of contacts from day 1. In addition to the course material they have loads of additional interviews and videos with well-known blockchain devs from all the prominent protocols. And their lead instructor, Dan...I can't praise him highly enough. He goes so far above and beyond...he's just an inspiration and an excellent instructor. It's his depth-of-knowledge, his patient demeanor and his kindness that sets the tone for the cohort for the entire 10 weeks. I can't thank him and Cody and the entire Chainshot team enough. The title says it all. I came to the bootcamp with knowledge only in JavaScript and after having completed some very basic online courses in Solidity. But after each material I've gone trough, I always felt that there were serious blank points remained in my mind, unanswered. Because most of this materials were taking consideration of only one or two aspects of decentralized world. But decentralized web is huge. It has many nuances and many levels of abstractions in it. It was mind-blowing to feel growing knowledge after each class day with such ease. His way of explaining concepts is very successful. No matter how complex or unfamiliar the concept is, he teaches it in a way that it makes total sense. Classes generally start with theory and Dan explains every detail, every use-case, every important aspect for that topic that might bu useful for the projects. He gives real-life examples, shows use cases on real projects, underlines potential exploits or considerations, connects concept with other topics that we've gone through; so everything makes so much sense. In the second half, it is full hands-on coding time. ChainShot has a very elegant online class system that you can code online with the rest of the class. So that you can get feedbacks for your code right away. This is when theory meets with practice. It also caught my attention that Dan answered every question asked during the classes and never left anything unclear. This organization of the course has built a full-stack mind set for me to create a decentralized app from the scratch. When I started this bootcamp, I had no idea "what I'm doing" and "why I'm doing" if I try to code some web3 project. At the end of 2-months of this bootcamp, I was able to demonstrate my full-stack NFT dApp to the class. ChainShot bootcamp isn't just an online course that you learn essentials of Ethereum development. It is a fully packaged, head-to-toe experience where you learn best practices for solving problems of the decentralized world, both in theory and practice. I totally agree with the comments of one of my cohort friends, saying that: "I haven't learnt so much valuable things during my 4-year Computer Science education in university than this two month bootcamp". I am really honored to be an alumni of this prestigious school and being a part of this wonderful family. It's an extremely impressive platform and was very effective in teaching modular concepts throughout the course. From a staffing perspective, the lead instructor, Dan is incredibly experienced in the space. More than once I stumbled across unrelated projects on github he had contributed to. He is a fantastic guide. If you're struggling with a problem, he's extremely patient and provides thoughtful/useful advice. The TA for our cohort, AL, was available nearly each weekend for unofficial office hours. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the ChainShot team. The only comon service ChainShot doesn't provide is job placement services. Cody is pretty up front about this during the interview. Many bootcamps dedicate a week or so to resume building or interview prep. This is not included in the program. The crypto industry is fairly nascent and providing such guarantees/services would be expensive. I actually saw this as a plus. It allows for the ChainShot team to focus more of content delivery. That being said, there are plenty of opportunities to network with new and established projects within the discord via both official and official online events. You also get experience interfacing with popular/necessary protocols and tools that will be useful in findings a job. From a pricing perspective, this program is a steal. I cannot emphasize this enough. There is no other bootcamp that offers a similar pricing for the same experience or level of polish.
