Well, I impressed myself and looking back I am surprised I was able to build a fully realized final project. This is due to the rigour, attentiveness and teaching style of Dan. I vastly learned more in 10 weeks than I have in 6 month of fishing through tutorials myself. Long term developers benefit from a good knowledge of Javascript, but it is also accessible for those with less knowledge, it just takes more effort! I can now say because of Chainshot I feel confident in the future of my developing!

I was in the middle of learning how to run an ethereum 2 validator node and saw their bootcamp mentioned in the developer resources of ethereum.org. As I was already going down the rabbit hole of ethereum and my only formal training in software development... Read More has been through paid streaming services, youtube, or learned on the job, I figured I would test my abilities running through this bootcamp that would apply some of my knowledge in web development into ethereum development. After a quick interview with Cody and a javascript coding exercise, I joined the bootcamp and began learning with flexible classes 4 days a week and projects and readings on the weekends. Dan the instructor livestreams the classes over discord and teaches smart contract development and other concepts through a really well made interactive coding classroom. It is evident he has a very deep knowledge in ethereum development which is impressive considering how new it is and how fast the field is growing. I cannot remember an instance in the 10 weeks of class where Dan had a question or "what if" brought up by a student that he didn't have a great answer for or experience with. The class is very accessible with people from all sorts of backgrounds taking the class to learn about this new tech. The class has not only exposed me to this new field of development but also honed my existing skills as I was able to learn some good practices in general software development you might miss on the self-taught route. Would recommend to anyone trying to kickstart their journey or solidify their experience in ethereum development.

The interactive coding environment was amazing. It was very beneficial to have a live instructor there to knudge me in the right direction when I was struggling. I came into the bootcamp with an idea but wasn't even sure if it was possible to do on the blockchain. By the end of the bootcamp I was able to code that idea and present it as my final project. I would highly recommend this bootcamp.

The ChainShot team has put together an excellent training course that will provide you with a solid understanding of blockchain technology and Ethereum smart contracts, as well as a broad survey of the vast Ethereum ecosystem that exists today. He did a fantastic job explaining key concepts during lectures and guiding students through the associated coding labs, which are designed to let each person work at their own pace. You'll learn how to write and deploy smart contracts with real-world applications, how to integrate those contracts with JavaScript in a front-end application, and how to properly test and debug all the pieces. The ChainShot team also has lots of connections in the Ethereum community and we had several guest lecturers from well-known projects come and speak to the class, which was great. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to become a Solidity developer, or just has a fascination with blockchains and cryptocurrency and wants to get a deeper understanding of how it all works under the hood.

Chainshot was a great learning experience! It first starts with blockchain basics - Bitcoin and then then Ethereum. Personally, the classes got a lot more interesting (and more challenging) when we hit Ethereum development. And classes the last couple... Read More weeks were based on Ethereum protocols in the space (Uniswap, Chainlink, etc.) There were a few weekend projects which led me to work on my Next/React skills. Keep in mind that this was also on top of picking up Solidity and working with Ethereum dev tools (Hardhat, Ethers, etc.). The final project was also a lot of fun to work on as well. Dan, the instructor of the bootcamp, was the best. He's been in the space for a while and has a lot of knowledge about Ethereum development. If you have questions, he has answers (and if he doesn't, then he'll do his best to find out!). The classmates were also a great plus. There were people with all kinds of backgrounds and it's kinda cool that we all have the same interest in the space. Anyways, I'm really glad I went through the Chainshot bootcamp. I'm a little sad that it has ended, but I'll be looking forward to how I can get involved more within the Ethereum ecosystem!

Our instructor, Dan Nolan, have been taken us from absolute beginners into the long and beautiful journey of Solidity smart-contract development. The guys from Chainshot... Read More did a great job putting together the curriculum for this course which covers all the basics of Solidity Development from scratch and way, way more. By the time you'll finish the bootcamp you'll be able not only to develop your own smart-contracts but also learn how to interact with the already well established protocols from a smart-contract level. It really is a complete and amazing experience from start to finish into this world, however, the bootcamp is not for programming noobs, a good knowledge and experience with another programming language will help you succeed in this journey. I want to thank Dan and Cody for all their hard-work and dedication in creating professional smart-contract developers from each one of their students.

Best way to jumpstart your knowledge in crypto. This class is totally more technical than dumb boring history of crypto and junk like that. I've known a bunch about conventional development and programing so this class was SUPER great to get me to that... Read More level in the crypto space. It was a tad bit slow at some points, but the things you learn are so so very important and hard to find all in one place. Dan has great insight in the space and is a greaat teacher. Loved it, lots of fun and tons of great stuff. I'm writing this for a t-shirt so I've been coerced haha. But no really I mean all of it, totally go for it if you are on the fence.

The ChainShot Ethereum Developer Bootcamp is a great class for anyone looking to make the transition into decentralized tech. For those that are new to programming, the course moves at a pace that is not too overwhelming provided you pass the prerequisites... Read More for the bootcamp. For folks with a programming background, there is still plenty to learn during the lectures and in-class exercises. Almost every day contains additional material and challenges if you find yourself finishing up early. Dan is an excellent instructor. He is incredibly knowledgeable of the whole ecosystem, and was great at answering questions and providing resources. He was willing to put in extra time outside of class to help students if they were stuck. Dan also brought in many guest speakers from popular protocols and tools; these were great additions to the lectures and allowed us to ask some very specific questions. Dan also has a lot of hands on experience developing, so there were many nuggets of knowledge and best practices to pick up from him. I cannot recommend ChainShot highly enough!
