Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with Coding Temple, and it's not been a positive one, unfortunately. I enrolled in their program in July 2022 with high hopes of finding a job in the tech industry within six months of graduation. I graduated... Read More in September 2022, but as of today, I'm yet to secure a job that would allow me to start repaying my loans. I reached out to Coding Temple multiple times, trying to get some guidance and support in my job search. After a long wait, I finally got in touch with Mike-Lynn. However, the response I received was far from helpful. I was met with empty phrases and essentially told that it's my fault I'm in this situation, along with the classic "pull up your bootstraps" advice. This response not only lacked empathy but also failed to address the real challenges I've been facing. My current situation is dire; I'm homeless and living in my car, all while desperately trying to secure employment. My intention is not to resort to negative reviews or legal action, but my circumstances leave me with no other choice. I need immediate and meaningful assistance. I'm reaching out here in the hope that someone from Coding Temple will see this and take my situation seriously. I believe in the potential of the skills I gained from their program, but the promises made have not been upheld. I'm eager to find a solution and fulfill my financial obligations, but I need Coding Temple's support to make that happen. I'm so happy with my decision as after finishing the bootcamp, I went into the job search with confidence and knowledge to get my my first position. The career support is unmatched. The team is very helpful as I reached out for support with interview training, resume help, etc. This decision changed my life and I am so grateful.

I enrolled in a boot camp program with the expectation of acquiring proficient coding skills and transitioning into a new career. The contract stated that the program would provide job placement assistance, but unfortunately, six months after graduation,... Read More I have yet to receive any meaningful support. Despite submitting over 300 job applications, I have not received any assistance beyond being advised to apply to more positions. Additionally, the staff responsible for job placement have all resigned, and to my knowledge, there has been no effort to replace them. Regrettably, I must caution others against enrolling in this program if they are seeking a genuine career transition. I am currently $17,000 in debt and believe that the curriculum offered in the program can be easily accessed online for free.

From the start of the bootcamp to the "end" you were never alone in your new journey. Once enrolled, I was given pre-work that must be completed before the start of your cohort. I was also added to the Coding Temple community through Slack, with many... Read More channels. It was reassuring to know I could simply reach out and get assistance from either the instructors, TAs, students, etc. The course work is very fast-paced and we had homework every night. Being dedicated and giving it my all helped me complete all my coursework. My instructor was very kind to answer any and all questions. It is very tough to code-along with the instructor so when I felt I couldn't keep up, I would just watch, listen, and take notes. This helped the information sink in better. The instructor also provided lots of helpful documentation and helpful resources. I saved every link which I was able to refer back to for homework and my final project. There are also student activities to get involved in like: Codewars workshops, algo nights, random trivia recess, etc. Coding Temple also provided night instructors that are available to help with homework and projects after lecture hours. The best part about Coding Temple is the alumni resources, which include career and tech advisors for life! Which is exactly why a put quotes around "end" at the beginning of my review because you are always apart of the Coding Temple community even after you graduate! Wonderful course, school, staff, students, everything!

I was in the 6 month self-paced program at Coding Temple from April to September 2022. It was a hard road to say the least. My instructors were Brandon Apol, Christian Askew and Schardre Dent during the 6 month program. They were always willing to help, but were also able to deflect back to me when it was imperative that I figure it out on my own. I originally was displease because I thought there could be more subject matter taught, especially the stuff that causes the most problems and that isn't the coding part. Looking back now, I realized that its always part of the process to figure things out on your own and the better you are at that, the more valuable you will be in the field. Also, figuring things out on your own gives you a confidence that surpasses any test you could pass and I mean that with certainty. Not only that but you will learn things and have the tools to be successful and you won't even realize it until you do start figuring things out on your own, which is what you will have to do in the field to be successful. I appreciate the effort of my instructors and there help when I needed it the most. I would recommend Coding Temple for anyone desiring to become a computer programmer or anything in the tech field for that matter because of its broad background of subjects covered. I would add however, that being a non-traditional student, this learning environment was very challenging. I believe therein lies the issues of my struggles early on.... teaching myself a lot of things was not what I was used to doing in traditional college/university. I am forever grateful for the time I have spent here and everyone involved with this program.... It is top notch!!!!

Read More the staff are great at what they do, instructors are knowledgable, down to earth, genuinely great people, insanely patient, and your biggest fans. Having graduated, I'm even more blown away by the post grad support. The resources here are totally worth the money. My only regret is not joining sooner.

If you listen and put in the effort and know what you want to do you will get the outcome you went in wanting. I'm 4 months out and just landed a UI dev. role and I started off knowing absolutly nothing. I gave up everything and moved in with my grandma... Read More to do this career switch and it was a long and tough road. But Coding temple staff are there for you when you need if you need it. But at the end of the day you have to do it.
