I love technology and am fascinated with how it all works. So, when... Read More I read about the Data Scientist program, I was intrigued and wanted to know more. I have been in social work/customer service field for a while now. I know what to do and when to do it. Entity caught my attention because it said no experience necessary, and we will teach you everything you need to know. I took a leap of faith and began the program. I am so happy that I did. My mentor was fabulous and even now that I have graduated, I can still connect with him and pick his brain. I love the format of the program where you have videos, examples, live help from mentors, etc. to assist you with completing your lessons. I learn in various ways and this format allowed me to use my different learning styles. Every lesson and project I completed was something that I can now use in my portfolio when looking for employment. I met some amazing people especially for my final group project. The ladies in my group were all amazing and we each brought our own unique skills to the table, and we were able to create an awesome presentation. These ladies will forever be in my life. We send job leads and different articles to each other to continue to help us grow as Data Scientists. The community environment is what I love about the Entity platform. They want you to do your best and succeeded. I am forever grateful to the staff for guiding me into this next chapter of my career and life. I can't wait to see what's next.

Read More enjoyed the added Google Classroom aspect of the course for Data Science, as it helped me to review and retain information. The Slack channels for Woz U were helpful in asking for assistance with a problem or error while coding and the mentors are available there for anyone who needs them. I am learning Python, R, SQL and No Sql as well as using Jupyter and Tableau, things that I would have never been able to do with efficiency as I am now. There is also an extensive network for job support to help you succeed after you graduate! I recommend this bootcamp tremendously!

Since starting this program, I have been going through so many things in life. Halfway through the program my computer screen on my brand new computer just stopped working and I had to send it in to get it fixed. ENTITY let me go on leave until it was... Read More fixed and really worked with me. Once I got my computer back and started my lessons again, my uncle died and I went through a lot of anxiety issues among other things. That’s just a small piece of my troubles, but ENTITY spared no time in reaching out to me and continues to be there for me and support me through it all! Their mentors are so amazing and helpful throughout each course and they go above and beyond to ensure that we as students are getting the most out of the program. I’m grateful and blessed to be a part of such an understanding and caring program like ENTITY, I would gladly recommend them to anyone!

I am so happy I did this program. The last time I was in school was back in 2005. I have been working at a school as a Teacher Aide for the past few years. At first I was nervous about doing this program. The process was very easy and the tuition options... Read More were accommodating. During my 33 weeks of training I met with Mentors. Nolan Hardeman was my initial mentor and he was great. He help me set up my computer step by step; he also encouraged me during my lessons. Nolan was very knowledgeable and explained terms and codes that I could not understand. Outside of Nolan I had help from the Woz-U community. Melissa was my second mentor. Slack was a great place to find help during my lessons and it was the main frame to use when students of Entity needed help. I used Slack a lot and any mentors that were available helped. I would do most of my classes after work, so mainly in the evening and there was always someone on to help, if not the next morning. I loved that the lessons had mini quizzes and Hands-On lessons to get a real feel of what the lesson was teaching. During my 33 weeks of training I came to learn to use Python, R-Studio, Machine Learning, SQL, No SQL, and Tableau. They gave step by step instructions to download Mongo, Jupyter Notebook, AWS, R, Github and Julia. I came to use Git Hub and I love it! I now have a new love for coding. I enjoyed my time as a student and came to really have fun making new algorithms and making predictions. When working on my final project I decided to do a group project. Having Matt Geradino and Joeseph Raetano as an Instructor was also exciting. Both gave great feedback and enjoyed the presentation. I found great women to partner with. We became very good friends and worked in harmony. This was the first time using my knowledge of what I learned on my own. I had confident on my understanding of everything I had done in my training. Working with the career coach Mark Gasche has been a pleasure. He has given me very good pointers and such an encouraging person. Working on my resume, cover letter and interviewing now. I am in the process of applying for jobs and am very confident on my decision on moving on to Data Science.

ENTITY is proving me wrong. I started college as an astrophysics major at CU Boulder. I was the only Latina in my entire academic department. I remember going to class and feeling so isolated. None of my classes had more than a handful of other girls,... Read More and there were definitely no other Hispanics. My studies themselves were a huge challenge and although I wanted to pursue my degree, imposter syndrome, working to support myself, and the overall rigor of my major led me to dropping out. I’ve looked back on that for years with so much regret because I had grown up wanting nothing more than to be a scientist. When I came upon ENTITY scrolling through Facebook, I immediately signed up for more information and before I knew it I was talking to the enrollment team. They told me about what ENTITY stands for and what they do for their students and I just fell in love. Having a support team like this is what I lacked at CU. I thought to myself, “This is going to get you in the door. You can still go into the sciences.” I was approved for an Income Share Agreement and I dove right in too ok the Data Science Program. Enrolled and bam! I started learning how to code. ME. CODING. I couldn’t believe it. The instructors at WOZ-U break the material down into tiny baby steps. Exactly what I need. I always though of myself gas someone who sucks at computers. But the instruction provided by WOZ-U and the resources and support of ENTITY have turned me into a whiz. I can’t wait to see where this road will take me. I have to provide a shoutout to ENTITY’s enrollment officer Andraya. Before I enrolled she was a huge support and friend leading ne through the application and enrollment process. even now that I’ve been in enrolled a few months she still takes time to check up on me. She and everyone at ENTITY are game changers. Thank you so much. If it wasn’t for ENTITY I would have livef my whole life thinking I wasn’t smart enough to succeed in STEM fields. And here I am a Data Science student studying one of the most obscure hard science fields out there and moving every second of it

This program has been amazing with keeping me invested in data science.
