I took the "Website in a weekend" course and creating a web from scratch is no longer a mystery for me! I have never seen so good explanations that kept me so interested and awake all along. Just when you think you are starting to get a bit lost, examples... Read More are displayed and everything becomes so clear. Particularly helpful I found as well the use of free resources just a google search away and the cheat sheets. I am so happy that I took this course. The skills learned will come with me for life. I will definitely take some other course with you! Thank you guys for the effort and time put into this! ❤

I decided to attend this course as a way to expand my skill set and better understand how the platform I currently work on is set up and designed. I HTML / CSS has interested me but I was worried that it would be too overwhelming or too abstract for me... Read More to pick up on. This course breaks down the fundamentals and builds on them in a hands on way. This approach and the associated support with the course has been a such a positive and fun experience and I'm excited to complete the rest of the sections!

This course has been so easy and enjoyable to follow! I'm reasonably intelligent but have no knowledge or experience with coding language. Tina presents the information in a fun, interactive, and uncomplicated manner, resulting in a very pleasurable learning... Read More atmosphere. Read More I'm soooo grateful to Tina and the team of Institute of Code for making web development so accessible and easy to learn, allowing me to develop my dream website and host it without needing any service provider...all in JUST A WEEKEND !!

I have previously attended an IOC Bali Bootcamp with zero experience in coding and came away having built two websites and feeling that coding could be for me because i love languages. However as anyone who has tried to learn a language before knows 'if... Read More you don't use it, you lose it' and that's what happened. The project i'd gone to the bootcamp for fell through and then i just didnt consolidate my knowledge. The urge to code however has rattled around since i attended the original bootcamp and a few times ive tried again. Most recently when i paid a not insignificant amount of money to do another bootcamp by a different provider and i just couldn't get into it and seriously felt like i was unintelligent. Then the opportunity to do the 'website in a weekend' came and so I jumped at it. It has genuinely been one of the best decisions ive made this year!! I find the course content easy to follow, it is provided in a variety of formats e.g. video and written content, and the activities are relevant to each topic of study. The mentor support is also exceptional both while you are doing the course and after (which i know from the previous bootcamp experience). In a period of time where it would be easy to zone out and spend all my time watching netflix, this course has genuinely engaged me and inspired me to get back to learning to code so that I can create a different career path for myself if i want or use it to benefit the one i already have. I feel like can actually grasp how it works again. I would highly recommend any of the courses run by IOC and can now also add that the online courses are equally as good as the in person ones!

I loved the course from beginning to end! It was so detailed, explained so easily, in a way that anyone could understand it. The way it has been filmed is so eye-catching and pleasant to the eye. I could be focused for such a long time with such well... Read More made videos. If maybe videos are not your thing and you prefer to read, right below the video you could find also a complete explanation of the subjects, with the coding examples showed, just in case you wanted a more in depth review. After each lesson you also got a challenge to do by yourself with the recently acquired knowledge, which made learning such a fun adventure. 100% recommend, you are not going to regret it :)

I did the weekend web development bootcamp in hopes that I could extend my knowledge of web development from what I learned in school… and boy did I! There was so much amazing information, jam packed within this weekend! Tina’s videos are comprehensive... Read More and fun to watch. I really appreciated that you could read along with the class, as there are notes directly below the video. For someone who can be a bit hard of hearing, this really helped. I also truly enjoyed the activities that were attached to most of the videos. It was a great way to take what you learned in the video and practice. I learned so much about responsiveness with Gridlex (a much better option to bootstrap in my opinion), media queries, live hosting, embedding YouTube videos, and SEO… just to name a few of her amazing tutorials! There is also some great beginners content for anyone who has never used HTML or CSS so the truly is a weekend anyone can do. There are 4 fantastic projects that you can create, with the help of Tina’s videos. The projects are so much fun and look fantastic once you’ve finished them. These projects are great ways to enhance your skills. If you become overwhelmed or stuck, don’t be afraid to ask questions! There are mentors at the ready to guide you with tips and suggestions on how to better accomplish your goal. The only activities that I skipped over were a couple of classes on Adobe XD. While I thought the videos were incredibly helpful, I was struggling with some of the commands and wanted to continue learning more about HTML and CSS. If there was a weekend bootcamp specifically for Adobe XD, I’d absolutely take it in a heartbeat. It seems like an amazing tool for Web Developers to create sites easily and efficiently (once they have a better understanding of the program). All in all this is an absolutely wonderful weekend bootcamp. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to change careers into the web development world. You won’t be disappointed!

I have a tried very many different courses throughout the past few years, and the one I keep coming back to is the Institute of Code! I started their Website in a Weekend course this week and I’m only half way through, but have learned so much! I used... Read More to code websites for my previous role but I had no idea about half of the opportunities out there until this course! Tina has a way of making the lessons super straightforward and easy, whilst keeping them engaging and also covering so much ground! I genuinely enjoy logging into the course and don’t find it tedious like other online courses. What baffles me is how accesible Tina makes coding and website design - anyone who signs up for this course, WILL be able to create a website at the end of it!! Highly recommend!!

I have always been intimidated by the idea of coding until I went through the website in a weekend boot camp with IOC. They’re truly remarkable in their way of teaching. Everything is explained in such an easy to understand manner that you do end up feeling... Read More very comfortable with trying yourself. I feel quite comfortable now with HTML, CSS & Java. Also given the foundations, I’m comfortable to also build up on it and continue self learning. I couldn’t have imagined reaching to this point myself. Thank you, Tina! You’re pretty amazing!
