Attending the web development course at the Institute of Code in Bali was one of the best decisions I have made this year. The course itself was incredible and I never thought I would learn so much and actually know how to apply this knowledge afterwards.... Read More I tried teaching myself how to code before attending this course but some things never made sense to me and it was hard for me to understand specifics about different coding languages and how they interact with each other. The mentor - student ration of 1:4 made this course so much better. I always had someone to ask questions and the mentors were always trying their best to explain concepts in a very understandable way until the student really got it and could then also apply it or explain it to someone else. I would highly recommend this course to everyone who is interested in learning how to code and wants to maybe even start their own business.

If you're a graphic designer and you have dismissed coding as 'too hard' (even though we know it's a big part of our profession's future) then don't worry, IOC is not like the web development subject at design school:

1. You won't have other commitments... Read More pulling at your time/attention.
2. The lessons are modern, relevant and practical.
3. There is plenty of one-on-one help and,
4. You'll walk away feeling much more capable and empowered as a designer.

If you feel like coding will help your design career, and if you're feeling a little burnt-out and in need of inspiration than this course will help.

What I didn't expect was how incredible the location was when I arrived. Tina and Emilio who founded IOC have gone to great lengths to create an enivornment for learning that would make Finland jealous! The huge villa were the course is held is absolutely beautiful, spacious and luxurious. And the food, oh my the food — just incredible.

The course is well paced, and offers ample time for catch up if you get in over your head. The mentors are a huge help and come from all over the world to help pass on their experience to everyone. I never would have expected to have a working understanding of web development in 10 days but IOC delivered.

I also met some amazing people and stay in touch with them still. But most importantly, this year I have started my freelance business as a full fledged web designer. It's also worth mentioning that Tina and her team and the huge group of alumni offer limitless support once you have left Bali to help solve problems both technical and emotional. Couldn't recommend anything more highly.

If you are reading this, back yourself and make the most of this opportunity. I'm so glad that I did!

I went onto the course wanting to explore a career change, but with no idea where to start in the big world of Social Media and Content Marketing.
There are so many... Read More creative resources online, but the biggest difference for me with IOC was being surrounded by a super supportive team/ community/ mentors that really fast-tracked a lot of the learning. Most days are structured to cover specific topics – the content is intense – but everything is perfectly paired with a relaxed environment (like the best variety of food for every meal, a beautiful pool, and let's be real – it's run on a dream villa in Bali)!

The best part for me since stepping out of the course is actually feeling empowered and inspired by all of the content and practical steps provided at IOC.
Even now, the community and alumni group have really become like family.

If you're hungry to learn, wanting to explore something new in life or looking for a group of like-minded people, I would highly recommend jumping into an IOC course.
It's truly one of the most fulfilling learning experiences out there and absolutely life-changing!

The IOC team and the mentors were all so supportive and the ongoing support is a great help! My favourite part of the course was meeting the amazing people that were all there for different and inspiring reasons! I loved the intensive boot camp learning environment and thoroughly enjoyed my time learning and practicing my new coding skills. The villa we stayed at was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable, and the meals we had prepared for us were very tasty and healthy. We had plenty of one-on-one time with the mentors which was a huge help for me when I was stuck on some concepts and needed extra help, and other times when I felt comfortable to move forward and learn new things on my own. Another thing that has been great is all of the after-class support that we've received. Anytime I run into an issue I know I can ask my mentors and other class participants, and I'm confident that support will be there to help me work through it. Would highly recommend.

I attended university and earned a marketing management bachelors degree, expecting to thrive in the world of digital marketing. However, I soon came to realize that the kind of marketing I'm passionate about, digital/social media/creative and content... Read More marketing, isn't really taught in college. It's such a new industry and the only real way to learn about it is to study under the professionals in this arena - so I came to Bali and studied at Institute of Code for that very reason. Influencer marketing, social media marketing, photography, videography, editing, blogging, modern marketing...all these concepts were taught in a laid-back, no BS environment that fostered an incredible learning experience. In fact, I can confidently say that I learned more about creative marketing in this single bootcamp than I did in my four years at university. If I had questions that were left unanswered, I could step outside and chat with a mentor beside the pool. If I needed hands-on lessons, I could schedule a morning shoot with a mentor. Forget classrooms and homework and teachers talking AT you. The mentors at IOC were so obviously passionate about what they do, and it showed in their lessons and their work. I also loved the attention and emphasis IOC places on wellness (morning yoga, frequent breaks, healthy foods) as a supplement to education. The course was well-planned and all students were well-accomdated. There's no better way to learn!

This bootcamp had the perfect balance of intensive study with a laidback, calm setting. This made it so much more motivating to learn. It really did feel like a dream. I so much appreciated the activities that kept our brains stimulated and healthy foods that kept our bodies energized.

I was more and more impressed each day by the new things I learned and by how much knowledge they had about everything. It wasn’t hard to tell that they worked their asses off to make sure we understood every subject, that we were accommodated in any way, and that we were always safe.

I would recommend this to anyone, there’s no doubt this is the best bootcamp out there.

I attended IOC’s coding bootcamp and went from zero to hero in 10 days. I had no HTML or css experience and I built a website that was far more challenging than I originally anticipated.
The mentors were incredibly helpful and made sure I got the website... Read More to where it needed to be before the course was over, not to mention they provided further assistance over Skype in the weeks following the bootcamp.
Apart from that, I met some absolutely incredible people, had so many amazing experiences and ate some of the best food I’ve ever tasted in Bali!
