Over the past year I’ve had a lot of spare time (thanks to lockdown). I decided to put this time to good use by learning how to code. For a long time I’ve wanted to be able to design websites websites for others. It’s a joy helping other people to grow... Read More their business plus learning how to code would help me in my own personal career in Digital Marketing. I saw that the Institute of Code were offering a weekend course and it looked like a perfect place to start. Important note... I had little prior coding experience. I discovered other companies that offer similar courses but I felt that the Institute of Code offered a really structured approach. By looking at their website and social media posts I got an insight into how their teachers/instructors like to work. Everything is very clear, concise and simple to follow. Perfect for the way that I like to learn. 
I have now completed the weekend course, and can honestly say it has been fantastic. The expectations that I had were definitely met, and then some. All of the content was designed in a way that makes a lot of sense structurally and it’s easy to see your progress. You have access to the Institute of Code team of developers 24/7 so you can ask any questions and get instant help. Plus you can engage with other people that are enrolled and share the websites you’ve created, try to help each other with any queries etc. It’s a great motivator to see the rest of the community learning and building great websites alongside you. Looking to step into the world of web design? Wanting to learn a new set of skills that will help your career development? I'd 100% recommend Institute of Code. Message them and speak with one of the team. I found them to be very helpful and realistic in whatever situation you're in.

I really enjoyed the course and found it very easy to follow along and understand the content even though I have never coded or made a website before. The lessons were very professionally done and the content was obviously given a lot of thought and care.... Read More You can see that Tina is really passionate about her work and she presented the information in a very engaging way. The activities after each lesson also really helped me to practically apply the knowledge and gain confidence throughout the course. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to design and code a website.

FINALLY an html and css training that makes sense. This is by far the best coding training I have taken. I am now able to really understand, remember and apply the html and css coding I learned from taking this bootcamp and I am leaving having designed... Read More multiple sites. I actually already started using my newly learned skills for a job. I will definitely take additional courses with the Institute of Code.

The course was fantastic - very easy to understand and follow; it was well laid out and the exercises were engaging, explained well, and at the right pace. It is accessible to those with little or no coding experience and also helpful to those with some... Read More or moderate coding experience. There were also many tips about good UX design practice, which was appreciated! Tina also talks a lot about inclusive design (for example for people who might visit your site who have dyslexia), which was really fantastic and insightful.

I signed up for this course in the hopes of getting a general understanding of coding. This course has completely surpassed all of my expectations and more. Read More explains in the videos and I love how they have made everything so user friendly and their positive feedback. I love the tips Tina gives along with the tips from the other people who review our questions. It was a short weekend and I did have to use my time wisely. It is a lot of information so be prepared to learn a lot. Take good notes and use the links and downloads they provide.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend the digital bootcamp Website In a Weekend from the Institute of Code. This content in this course was presented so well and at no point did it feel overwhelming. I was excited for all the lessons and gained... Read More so much knowledge. The course covers all viable information regarding creating a website. Not only was website coding covered but so was other applications like Adobe XD. Coding can be an intimidating thing but the content was broken down to make it easily digestible. If you have no familiarity with coding you are in the right hands with the Institute of Code. After attending this bootcamp I know feel like I have a new path ahead of me and am now even looking at attending the full 8 week digital Web Development course offered by the Institute of Code. If you are interested in Web Development this bootcamp is great place to start.
