I am absolutely loving Skillcrush. I knew I needed two things to embark on a career change program - structure AND real human support. I am getting both with Skillcrush. The lessons are well organized, succinct/efficient/ and even entertaining. They are... Read More brief, but thorough and it allows me to tackle small chunks at a time, or continue on and accomplish more when I have more time. I also really appreciate the responsiveness of the instructors. I email a question nearly every day, and I always hear back in less than an hour. Sometimes I just need someone to explain something to me, or check my work for that second set of eyes, to really help me understand what I am learning and know that I am on the right track, and their response team is amazing! They also have a community forum where you can see what other students are going through and learn from their experiences, or ask questions, which is also a great way to stay connected in an otherwise remote learning environment. Another thing I needed was a program that was affordable. I knew FREE programs wouldn't offer me the right structure and support I needed, but I couldn't spend thousands of $$$ either, so the price point and payment plan from Skillcrush was absolutely on point for me.

Skillcrush has made a fantastic curriculum for those currently in or new to the tech field. I've learned so much in such a short time and look forward to the rest of the program. Anytime I have had a problem the SkillCrush instructors are always there to provide guidance. I couldn't recommend SkillCrush highly enough.

The classes are super easy to follow, I appreciate the fact that there are a lot of projects! The best part is the recommendations about related content on the web, or the cheatsheets related to the subject we're studying.

I left college and got a job with (at the time) the second largest computer company on the planet and did very well for... Read More a few years, but decided to follow a different dream which led me away from computers as a livelihood. Fast forward three decades and it’s time to come home. This time, I’m much older, have three kids at home, and a full-time very physically demanding job. I didn’t have the time, cognitive ability, or money to waste. Skillcrush offers excellent training, support, and a well-traveled path to reach your personal and professional goals. This work is done remotely, but you are only as alone as you want to be. There’s camaraderie and support a few keystrokes away from the instructors and other students. The staff and instructors go the extra mile to make sure all of your questions are fully answered. If entering the tech world is your goal, you cannot invest your time or money in a more thorough or effective program.

The Free Coding Camp presents all sorts of skills numerous people use as they become a developer (i.e. HTML, CSS, Visual Design, Wordpress, etc).... You got through each lesson, step by step, and if you ever have ANY questions, send an e-mail! Our instructors gets back to you as soon as less than 12 hours after your e-mail.

The best part is they go through each section of the lessons with video, reading material, and great visuals! If you don't want to spend a 5 figure load to learn web development or give up a chunk of your life away to learn coding, Skillcrush is for you as you learn on your own time. I can't review yet about job support since I have yet to land a gig, but they have A LOT of articles on their blog and send TONS of e-mails of what we can do to develop ourselves into the market.

I wanted to earn more money, work on exciting projects, and gain more flexibility. Within a year of working through the course work, I landed a job working as a Coding Instructor. I didn't plan on becoming an Educator but the opportunity really pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Even back then I understood the true meaning behind the saying "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough" - Albert Einstein. Skillcrush is extremely user friendly and the curriculum is up to bar. I also really enjoyed the online community which is engaging and helpful.
