The support that you get from everyone is also very good: they are there for you all the time to answer any type of question.

The only negative or weak element is that the mentoring isn't very personalised, and, in my opinion, it is too brief. However, the mentoring that you get is good, and the mentors are nice and professional.

The course is conducted through a series of videos which you can watch in your own time, monthly webinars and practical projects which allow you to put your learnings into practice.

I found this course really informative. The lessons were very clearly explained, citing examples which I found really illustrated the points being made. And because everything is online I could go back to specific points or pause the video lessons, which... Read More was really useful as I was fitting this course around work and family and it took me longer than I initially intended. This really helped with the exam as I was able to re-watch videos to help refresh my memory on modules I had done several months earlier.
The coursework enabled me to really understand the whole process and even though I've been a designer for over 25 years, I still learned a lot more from this that I thought I would.
The only drawback (and this is minor) is that there was a little bit of further expense for software, equipment and a few amazon vouchers to persuade friends to help me out (around £100 in total) but you could get away with not spending this.
There is plenty of support available from the team and other students online through various channels, although that wasn't something I got involved with too much as personally I'm not a social butterfly but it's available if you want it. Plus there are monthly webinars which I found very helpful.
UX is so much more than I though it was and although before this course I would say I was a UI designer, having completed it I now fully understand the differences between UX and UI and the work needed to create successful digital products. I can also articulate the reasons behind my design decisions much better to clients and make more objective points, instead of getting drowned in subjective opinions from clients!
I would definitely recommend this course to designers or anyone involved in creating websites, apps or software.

Great program, starting right from the bottom (beginner level) and all the way through the theories, practices, how to's and implementation. I really enjoyed the course from start to finish and feel I have a real, in depth knowledge of what UX is really about.

I am working as a UX designer for about 3 years now, and still felt the need to have a deeper understanding of the UX process. I was curious to see how the UX Design Institute has structured the process and if it matches my understanding and the processes... Read More I follow. And yes, we met at many levels and many of the things I already knew, but there were ideas that were still new to me. The structure the program gives is precious. Mentoring and working together with the Institute team is so useful. I recommend them to anyone who'd like to dive deeper into the UX process and have a clear structure for solving complex problems. I'm happy to share that I am a certified UX designer now.

There are many pros about this course, you can learn from the comfort of your own home, constant access to course content and other students through Slack and access to past modules if you need to check up on any previous content. The only con for me... Read More was that I was unable to attend live webinars so it made it difficult to get any real feedback on projects.

The experience was great, there is a great slack community, the student service/help is really good and helpful.
