I’m glad that we had midterm and final projects to build data pipelines on the cloud (Amazon AWS) because that is the only way you can really learn. These projects have deadlines and require presentations so the pressure to perform is real, but that is how you learn fast. They teach you a very up-to-date Data engineering tech stack. This can easily be confirmed by looking at job postings on LinkedIn, Indeed, etc, and seeing what skills are typically required and/or sought after. As with all bootcamps, the limited amount of time given to cover a wide range of subjects is always difficult. It can be overwhelming at first and you will need to quickly adapt. Lectures and labs can only provide you so much. Independent self-learning on your own time is crucial. As many others have mentioned, the most significant reason that makes WCD stand out is its corporate partnerships. These companies, ranging from high profile multinationals to small local startups, provide real development work for the students and in turn makes all the difference on your resume. The organization has strong relationships with hiring managers and recruiters in industry, so while nobody can ever guarantee you a job, at the very least your resume will be seen by many of the right people in the right places which will eventually translate into a higher probability of success. As of mid-2021, the North American job market for Data engineering is red hot. As long as you work hard in this program, you have a good chance of success.

The full-time program allows you to work with real clients and there I learnt a lot while working on client's projects and solving real business problems. The program teaches you the fundamentals to be a great data scientist. The classes are small, allowing time for you to ask as many questions as you want. The TA's are extremely helpful and always willing to help. The projects were a great practical learning experience, and helped me build a portfolio I'm extremely proud of. The program had many guest lectures from industry professionals, allowing you to get a better feel of the practical use cases in various industries and tools. On top of that, you make many great connections with other students by collaborating on projects, it really felt like a family and only made me love the program even more. Career support was also fantastic, the team is always keeping students up to date on opportunities and referrals. I got more interviews than I expected in a short amount of time. I was also matched with a mentor, who gave great resume and job search advice as well. It made me feel much more comfortable during my job search. My only concern about the program was I wish TAs gave more detailed feedback on projects and presentations. You have to be proactive in getting more feedback. I also felt that some sections of the program were rushed, and saw myself getting lost. But as said before, the TAs are always willing to help. It's important to know that during and after the BootCamp, you really do have to put in the work. WeCloudData does a great job at setting the foundation for your data science path, but you have to work hard on your portfolio, understanding topics, and being aggressive in the job market.

WeCloudData is a purely school on data, which provide us a professional data culture. It make me have a deep understanding about data.This is very important when I was having interviews. 3 Experiences. It is really hard to land a job if you don't have any experience in an industry, especially in the Data industry. Luckily, I got the experience from WeCloudData. I completed the WeCloudData DS & Big Data Diploma Bootcamp as a Career switcher from with a non-stem background. The bootcamp + client project opportunity makes WCD the best value for career switchers. After completion of client projects, I was also provided with career support and a mentor (past alum) to help with job hunting. They provided prep. material prior to starting the course to help you get ready for the program. The program itself is very intensive. Be prepared to dedicate yourself fully for the duration of the program. That being said, the instructors and TA's are mindful of weekends and holidays. If you are serious about Data related career, I highly recommend WCD courses. You get what time and effort you put into the program. Everyday, we had 3-4 hours of lectures and another 3-4 hours of TA office hours where we could work through labs and projects for our portfolio. The TA hours are optional but I highly recommend attending, you learn a lot by participating in them. They host guest lectures and networking events for students with companies actively recruiting DS/DA/DE positions. Attend the guest lectures, very beneficial for networking. Even afterhours, you could reach TAs and Instructors via e-mail or slack. The faculty is very dedicated and always accommodate your questions or struggles during the learning process. ​I never felt alone during the Bootcamp or unassisted. Class sizes are small so you every instructor and TA knows you personally. Honestly, I can't be more grateful in hindsight for choosing WCD. They make an unmatched effort in ensuring all their graduates get hired.

Read More job and are very friendly and supportive, I never felt alone despite taking online classes, they care about their students and alumni. After all of this, you get to apply what you've learned to provide solutions for real client projects within their network, which not only is going to solidify what you've learned but also provide the experience you need when applying for jobs. When you finish the program and the client projects, they continue to support your career with job opportunities and recommendations. Now, it is not easy. The program is not meant to be like a walk in the park and it's only recommended if you're willing to put up the work in order to reap the benefits. It is intensive, you have to adapt and learn fast. As such you have to make arrangements in your personal life which will allow you to focus in the challenges ahead.

Read More known SQL and Python when I entered the program, so the main experience for me was the engineering part that is associated with real-world scenarios which repeatedly occurs in the life of a data scientist of all kinds, such as setting up proxy and securities tokens, private and public keys, starting a new environment, tmux, pulling images for docker containers, checking processes, the ETL pipeline, spinning clusters, AWS, S3, HIVE and Sagemaker. I also benefited a lot from the various talks and seminars that were held to widen our horizons and inform us of the spectrum of possibilities that are open to us in our professional life as a data scientist, such as customer life cycle and retention for customers with recurring payment for some services provided through the cloud, ad-supported platforms and so on, which are the focus of my current job, there was also explanation about heatmap, lift analysis, airflow (Luigi), and many other topics that were no part of any data science curriculum I know. All in all I enjoyed it immensely.
