My transition to the data analytics field was a success, and soon I will be working for one of the largest retailers in Canada and using the knowledge and skills I gained from this program to power its media and digital marketing businesses.

My Experience Highlight
The curriculum is intense yet very practical by design. For someone like me that don’t have any coding experience in the past, it is a bit challenging in the beginning. You need to spend extra time on the course materials, and then you would gradually adapt and catch the rhythm.

Aside from the content, the entire staff demonstrates very high levels of passion and professionalism. They are all very approachable, respectful and very well-educated themselves. They took a step further and learn each student’s personality and learning style and what makes them tick.

Career Service
In my opinion, this program comes with the best career service/job assistance in the market. One thing that I want to emphasize is that not only it has the best variety of services such as resume makeover, standard & technical interview preparation, job hunting tips but also the length of these services available to the students.

Most of these services are continuous and made available to the students after they complete the program. I felt strong and confident going through interviews with the support and help from WeCloudData’s staff and community members.

Conclusion:
This is a well-designed, industry-proven and customer-centric program that will help you succeed if you are willing to give it a shot and put in a 100% effort.

Read More me acquire the necessary skills in Data Science before and during the bootcamp. The pre-bootcamp materials helped me get familiar with the essential SQL and Python coding skills and speeded up the learning curve during the bootcamp. I highly recommend whoever wants to join the bootcamp to get prepared, WeCloudData does a great job in providing the necessary materials. During the bootcamp, the course work is very intensive. Although I already have coding experience and mathematical background, I still need to spend at least 10 hours a day to study and finish homework and projects. However, the instructors and teaching assistants are doing their best to ensure everyone can get the most out of the courses. During the bootcamp, I finished two client projects and several portfolio projects to showcase my skills. Two of them are solving real business problems for two well-known companies, which is valuable in terms of professional experience. WeCloudData has a robust professional network. You will have the opportunity to expand your network and show your skills to various companies that are looking for data scientists, data engineer or data analysts. They also dedicated to supporting you find a great job. Overall, I have a very positive experience with WeCloudData. I was suspicious if a bootcamp can make me transit into a data scientist. However, I upgrade my data analytics skills within my company and now I have the necessary skills to work efficiently in any data science project. This program is worth the hard work I put. WeCloudData’s program covers more material than any other leading bootcamp. The curriculum is created with professional development in mind, while at the same time being up-to-date with all the latest frameworks in the industry. WeCloudData’s curriculum includes an extra component, which is crucial for getting a job at the top companies in the industry. It offers a selection of projects that students have a chance to complete during the bootcamp. These projects not only allow students to apply newly learned coding techniques but also push them to solve “real-life” problems and to create industry-specific practical solutions. Bootcamp has a mix of individual and group projects, which gives students a chance to work with different kinds of dynamics, and most importantly to learn from fellow students (working within their consulting firm “Beam Data” on data science and data engineering projects for companies such as Samsung Electronics Canada, Homadorma.....).
In addition to the core of the program, WeCloudData also offers practical and extensive preparatory material (already included in the price of the bootcamp: Python and SQL). Thanks to these materials students are capable of building a strong foundational knowledge of the core material, and as a result, have a much easier time during the program.
One of the greatest advantages of the WeCloudData’s bootcamp is the group of extraordinarily supportive teaching assistants. Since 100% of teaching assistants are former bootcamp students, they possess a unique understanding of anything that current students are going through at any given moment particularly Parry.
Another pivotal part of the program is its amazing collective of instructors, most of whom possess advanced degrees and multiple years of industry experience especially Shaohua. No other place creates such a remarkable mix of academic and industry knowledge that allows students to not only learn how to code but to understand the underlying principles of the business processes.
Also, I really appreciated how WeCloudData went what of their way in little things that can make a big difference such as: head shots, resume reviews, interviews preps, strategy in job hunting, etc. All the team: Shaohua, Shan, Parry, Vinny did an excellent job of covering all topics and encompassing everything that comes with either career change or building up your current career in particular, Shaohua has helped me in every step of my recruitment process.
From my experience, I only have positive things to say about the staff including: Rong, Maryam, Amir, instructors: Shaohua, Vinny, Shan, teaching assistants: Parry, Robert and the community at WeCloudData and highly recommend WeCloudData to anyone who is interested in data analytics, data science or data engineering.
Finally, this training enabled me to obtain a new position as a data engineer in a well-known bank.

I was also very pleased with how updated their curriculum was with many trending tools such as Apache Spark and several Amazon Web Services. The course is also structured with a combination of independent labs and group projects that provide practical hands on experience. Further practical experience is gained through real projects with clients that give you the opportunity to solve real data challenges. Reflecting back, I'm pleased to say that this course improved not only my technical skills, but my communication skills as well. I have computer science and stats background and wanted to get more hands-on with modern data science tools. The program covers every step for an end to end ML project, from ETL, data cleaning, to implementing model and model deployment. There is also... Read More a big data chapter for us to get a basic understanding of how AWS and Spark works, which means if you are interested in coding, you are capable of applying both Data Engineer and Data Scientist.

Unlike university lectures, the program was highly practical and we also worked on various client projects where we had a chance to work with real-life data and applied our skills to solve a real-world problem, which helped us a lot in applying for jobs. After lectures finished, there was also an interview prep session to enhance your interview skills and make your resume more competitive.

Overall, the Bootcamp was busy but enriched. Good value for the money.

I have a Quant background but unified analytics which is the demand of the day is more than just being good in stats and knowing python. You must be able to have an applied understanding of the end to end machine learning process from Etl to deployment... Read More and monitoring. You must also be familiar with scalable tools such as databricks and be well versed in building end to end ML pipelines on the cloud eg azure and aws. The program brings data science and engineering together nicely. You are exposed to both.

This in a nut shell is what you will learn in the weclouddata boot camp.

It is very practical and the client projects during the boot camp really help. The network is also very good when it comes to being reffered.

Obviously in a boot camp you need to make the effort to stay ahead else it becomes hard to catch up. I like the personal attention you get from the chief instructor and his team. They push their students into the industry. It is a win win relationship.

From my 2019 summer batch almost everyone got a job already within the field be it data science or engineering.

Full time big data courses is very well-organized. The course covered everything for data science, such as python, SQL, machine learning including math, and big data related knowledge. Course materials are easy to understand.

I really enjoyed the top down approach used by Vinny, not only does it keep you interested when learning the libraries and syntax, it also drives you to peruse more self... Read More learning. Vinny along with the TA Rhys were very approachable and encouraging. I enjoyed showing them where I was in regards to the class projects and getting feedback on what I could try next. The live coding made the class engaging and not only helped show the process that a developer might take when solving a problem. This class was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to not only those seeking careers in data science but for those who just want a general taste in programming as well.

Python for Data Science course conducted by Vinny and Rhys offers a great learning experience for people starting with their journey to become Data Scientists. Vinny starts with the basics and gradually moves on the advance topics. The topics are also... Read More taught on TA sessions with Rhys where we can go deeper and find out more about each topic and what is being applied in the market nowadays. Vinny mixes the intuitiveness, Statistics and the Mathematics on the topic in a balanced way.
As part of the course, he also encourages everyone to do a project, what helped me a lot specially working in group where I could compare my understanding with others and analyse my weaknesses and strengths but both Vinny and Rhys and offer great support.
My only piece of constructive criticism (which by the way is not at all a criticism) would be that the content was more organically brought to us beforehand so we could be exposed to it beforehand for a better understanding during classes exercises, it is a bit heavy content wise and hence breaking it down a little would be something to consider.
Overall, I would highly recommend this course to someone who wants to start a career in the field, that is what I am doing by taking the whole path into Data Science in different modules they offer from basic, intermediaire and advanced package options.
