The school offers me many chances of projects with real customers and helps me to find the fittest projects to start. It not only enriched my real job experience but also makes me familiar with the daily job process of a Data Scientist. When I got the interviews, I become more confident. Furthermore, the teacher in the support career department is really nice, she helps me go through my resume again and again and making mock interviews with me. All in all, do not hesitate to start your data journey in WeCloudData. You get what you pay for.

I was looking through and interviewed with several data science programs before I eventually landed in WCD. This includes the part-time programs at UofT, York and Ryerson as well as full-time DS programs at competing bootcamps (Brainstation, GE, LH, etc).... Read More I would say the material covered according to the program syllabus' was quite similar among these programs; however, I think the real-world client projects performed after the bootcamp concludes is what sets WCD apart for serious career switchers. Wanting to make the switch from the life sciences with minimal coding experience, I was skeptical that I would be able to make the switch into the data industry in as little as 12 weeks (which is what most full-time bootcamps offer), especially given that within these programs, you're working on preprocessed data that's handed to you. While this is great for learning, it's not very practical or standout to put onto a resume and showcase to a potential hiring manager. Therefore, when I finally stumbled on the real-world client projects that WCD offers, it was essentially a co-op opportunity for students to further grow and refine the skills they learned in the bootcamp while producing an impactful deliverable for a business. Looking back at the entire experience (bootcamp + client projects), it seems quite surreal how much you can learn within a span of 4 - 6 months. The 14-week bootcamp itself was very intensive. I would so far as to say it was more intensive than any university course I was enrolled in because no course would ever pack this much material in one semester. We covered SQL, python, ML, some DL, and big data (mostly AWS). I was often doing full days - beginning at 9am and going well into the evening because of material review as well as reading up on extra resources. Weekends were also often used to catch up on material as well; however, I think this type of environment is absolutely essential for anyone who wants to make the transition as quickly as possible from a non-technical background - literally learning, thinking about and applying data science skills every day while in the bootcamp. To those who are reading this review with minimal technical expertise and want to make the switch into data - if you can commit full-time , I don't think there is a better DS program out there that will prepare you for the industry as well as WCD. You will get as much out of the program as you put in. To those with at least intermediate technical expertise and are wondering what you can get out of this program, I believe the portfolio building aspect, big data portion of the course and client project side can be something you can take further advantage of.

It is helpful in preparing for interviews, and also in finding my career interests. I received 1 on 1 support and consultation on my career development based on my personal situation. The co-founder is very knowledgeable in both the tech field and career development. The advice is quite straightforward, and I can feel that he is standing in my shoes to help me analyze my career. Another big advantage of this program is that you will get the opportunities to work on real client projects after you finished the program. This is very helpful when you are looking for jobs. Because, in the job market, this field is getting more and more competitive, and companies tend to look for people either with advanced degrees or with relevant data science working experience. So yes, I would recommend this program if you want to learn relevant data science knowledge to land a dream data science job.

I am sharing my 6-week Data Analytics bootcamp experience with WeCloudData. To start with, when compared to the other courses available (at least, in the US), this course is AT LEAST 10% the cost of other courses. That being said, those more expensive... Read More bootcamps come with a few assumptions/benefits: 1.) Assume you start at ground 0 for knowledge and aren't working full time 2.) Give you TAs (in theory) 3.) Give you homework and allow you to work on your own projects. WeCloudData will show you (step by step) how to build quite a few interesting projects (in different fields) for your own portfolio, but because of the cost, you can't expect them to provide you must homework. What the course is great at doing, however, is giving you the foundational knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, and Python. Personally, I did a few months of self-study in these programs (so that helped me pick up concepts quicker), so I would recommend doing that before going in. HOWEVER, that is absolutely not a requirement, and you do have access to slide materials and recorded videos of your teaching sessions. What I also liked about the program is that the courses were after work hours, so if you are a working professional looking to enhance your career, you are able to take this course. Additionally, the program gives you an intro to multiple pathways of data analytics, so it's a fantastic way to get your feet wet (if you're switching careers like me). Third, they have an optional (but HIGHLY recommended) Saturday course, where you learn how to solve Python/SQL questions from LeetCode for potential interviews. And lastly, once you're done with the course, there is an optional mentorship program - you DO have to take a qualification test (which is great, since that means it's not a cheap money grab that some courses can do), but note that if you do enter mentorship, you do have to pay WeCloudData a portion of your salary for the 1st year of employment (which, honestly, isn't bad if it assumes you landed a job). If you're tight on money and want a great intro to analytics, I'd say sign up for this course. It's a low cost and time commitment, and honestly, I was able to land a job because of my experience with them.

Throughout the course, the instructors and TAs are very supportive, even though I don't have a coding background, they help me out by carefully answering all my questions and proving constructive feedback on my works, and of course, I devoted myself fully to my studies because I know all my efforts will pay off. And it did! I land on my dream job in January 2021. It is obvious that 2020 was a tough year, and we had to switch to online study in March, I was a bit worried that online study may not deliver the same result, but it turns out that I don't need to worry at all. Weclouddata not only continued to deliver high-quality courses but more importantly, they would call every one of us to track our learning experience and answer our questions. Their courses contains all necessary skills like SQL, Python Pandas, Python Machine Learning and AWS. What's fantastic is that they are so experienced on how to train students with these skills to solve real business problems. That's what's essential when searching for jobs in the industry.

They also provide students with real business projects, so when you start the job searching you are already experienced.

Their career services are amazing, too. They helped me during the entire interview processes (of 10+ interviews that I have been into). Shaohua's 20+ yrs data experience, and Vinny's technical smartness easily helped me outstand other people when interviewing for a competitive position.

You will learn everything you need to know for entry level DA/DS/DE jobs: Stats, Webscraping, SQL, Python, Machine Learning, Big Data. It's all covered thoroughly and efficiently. Like most education it will be what you make of it and the program is rigorous so I recommend pausing your life for a few months. The client projects they offer give you legit on-the-job experience and are very helpful during the job search. Not long after I completed the course I was offered a job that exceeded all of my expectations. Many of my classmates had similar results. Lastly, I knew 2 people that took both the WCD bootcamp and $65K+ Masters of Analytics and they both said WCD was clearly superior. If you're not convinced, then do what I did and try out one of their part-time courses to see if it's a good fit.
