Read More up for the Bootcamp, I didn't have enough time to finish the pre-course, I only did some lessons of JavaScript, but nothing else. On the other hand, English is not my native language, and for me, that was an extra challenge. To be honest, I was a little scared about everything. Then, I read my options for payment, and I enrolled in Student Finance as my first option, and I had the impression that it was so great to be true! In this part, I have to say, that is totally true, in fact, during the process, they explained the a few times the deal and make sure you understand all the details and what are your responsibilities and your benefits. Everything is clear as water. This was a most in my decision to take the full-time Bootcamp, so I made my decision and signed for CodeOp in full-time modality. Since the first day, I learned a lot of things, about code and about myself. This journey is super intense, full of knowledge, and rewarding at the same proportion. After 3 months of finishing it, and with the support of my coach career, I got an offer job as a JavaScript Developer and of course my agreement with StudentFinance is running exactly as we arranged.

In the end I found CodeOp and chose to take the part-time full stack development bootcamp. The learning experience was wonderful and I enjoyed the entire journey: The course was very well designed: intense but manageable (FE, BE, DB all covered). ALL content is useful: from theory leaning to different project phases, every session is designed to help us to build the knowledge system. Also the tutors are very experienced, patient, and always eager to help sometimes even out of office hour. I started the course with 0 coding knowledge and finished it by creating 2 full-stack projects!! As a women community, I have also met girls that share similar goals and interests with me :) It has been an unforgettable journey and I definitely recommend CodeOp!

I was worried as I started the CopeOp Product Manager Bootcamp in April, I wasn't sure that I would make it to the end. But after that first class, I was sold. The lessons were very well developed and using Trello to share weekly reading lists and assignments... Read More was just genius. The topics were taught in a way that built up knowledge from one lesson to another. And the instructor, Romina Aswani, made sure that she was available for one on one's to make sure that you could go over concepts that you were having issues with. I was also able to take what I was learning and apply it to my day to day work outside of class. But the one thing that elevated this for me was that the experience wasn't like being in a class; it was a community. CodeOp created an environment that went beyond teaching skills but fostered between the participants and their team a sense of community and collaboration. My coursemates and I shared and support each other. We grew in confidence as we got to know each other and worked through tough concepts and real-life experiences that affected us especially in the course of a pandemic. As I prepare to take all I've learnt and continue to learn from the CodeOp team that still supports us, and the community forged with the rest of the community. Would recommend this to any women, of any age and nationality looking to transition to a tech career. The best decision I made in 2021 was signing up for this.

Read More To be honest, I felt the curriculum got a little difficult to follow at some stages, but the mentors helped me cope with it. In hindsight, those stages prepared me for a grueling work life. What I liked the most was the way the mentors encouraged us to develop a problem solving mindset and have the courage to approach any problem calmly. I ended up making some phenomenal projects during the bootcamp and I'm so proud to show them off during my interviews.

To be honest, at first, I was very hesitant about the boot camp because as an American, the education system is always about profit first and not about education. But let me tell ya, I was blown away at the amount and intensity of the material they teach you. Even with the part-time full-stack program, it was difficult, especially when juggling a full-time job. Despite the workload, I was in awe at how warm and welcoming the community was from day one. As much as we all struggled through many nights, cried, or said we wanted to quit, the empowerment we got from each other was unmatched, with the exception of sports. I don't regret my time here, and I am very grateful to the friends that I have made and the people who took the time to mentor, teach, and support us through our journey.

For me, doing a bootcamp on CodeOp made me feel that transition to tech was absolutely the right thing to do. The content of the course is quite intense but really complete. I've started knowing nothing of tech and ended up building full stack apps. Not... Read More only that, but the instructors are great and super supportive, and the diversity really contributes with a nice environment that help us to thrive and learn. Doing a remote bootcamp can be a bit challenging, not always you get the answer that you're looking for straight away, but this also make you go search for them (as it will be after in real life). And the team, even remotely, had a tech-support to help us. Obviously there is a lot yet to learn, but I feel that I've build a nice structure on how to learn tech.
