I couldn’t imagine, I was just a cashier at a local grocery store a year ago and now I’m a Linux System Administrator. The classes were just amazing, I just followed the process, I attended the class every night, I attended review sessions, whatever process Yellow Tail Tech had I followed it. They told me I need to practice every day, I practiced, they told me to read this, and I read. I trusted them because I had nothing to fall back on, I had to keep going. I took my Red Hat certification exam and passed on my first take. Some would consider that lucky but I did the work and I think luck favors the prepared, that’s one of my favorite quotes. The support that Yellow Tail Tech had given from the moment I graduated to my internship to the time I had to look for a job was just 100%. They never left me, just like what they promised. Our instructors are very well-equipped in teaching us and it also helped that they’ve also graduated from the program so they really know the process. When I got the job I was really happy, I don’t know how to explain my feeling but I was just so grateful to my classmates, my instructors, and everyone at Yellow Tail Tech. They really did a great job in helping people like me and I highly recommend Yellow Tail Tech.

Yellow Tail Tech is the best IT training school if you want to really get into the game of IT. This is not just me bragging about it but they’re just the best. I have been enrolled in several IT boot camps in the past and most of them just wasted my money... Read More and did not provide anything out of my investment. When I started my class with Yellow Tail Tech I was amazed at how serious they are in helping people with no IT background. It was a year ago when I graduated from the program but I can still remember clearly the first day we were in class it was kick-off, we meet Jubee and Thierry and one of our instructors and all my classmates were there it was awesome, it was like an orientation before we get into the real deal and I’m really glad that I joined that kick-off because that fueled me to keep going. There was one segment in the event where Thierry told us to list down our why, why am I in here? My why that time is I want to become financially independent so that I will not do multiple jobs anymore just to provide for my family. The program at Yellow Tail Tech is not self-paced; we get to see the instructors live which means we get to meet and interact with them in class. I also like my classmates, we all came from different backgrounds but we came together with a goal in mind. I like that the program is not self-paced because it kills procrastination and there is really a set goal that I need to accomplish and there’s a process that I have to follow. The way our instructors also handed us the topics it’s just amazing because we really started from the very basic. I really enjoyed learning at Yellow Tail Tech. Since I already finished Linux for Jobs I’ve been planning to enroll in AWS for Jobs too. I have invited some of my friends so they can also experience Yellow Tail Tech and shift to a career in IT.

My experience at Yellow Tail Tech is not only great but also very rewarding. After I graduated from the program, I passed the RHCSA exam and then moved on to the internship program. Read More of giving up not because of the program but because of personal reasons, but when I shared my problems with my instructors and my Cohort mates they were all very supportive. I told myself that I need to push myself and get to the goal. Practice really makes perfect, because from the beginning during regular class our instructors would tell us to keep on practicing because that would help us remember the concepts. I like that our class is very interactive and engaging and that really helped me too. When I was already applying for a job Yellow Tail Tech helped me polish my resume, they guided me all the way through, they also helped me with my LinkedIn account, what things to put in there, which people to connect with, the support was all out. We were also given mock interviews and before that, I was kinda nervous because all my life I never really got into formal interviews so during the first mock interview I remember I just answered a phrase, one sentence, I wasn’t confident but then I just do more mock interviews listened to the feedback and I think that’s what helped me land my first job. The first job that I got was also my first job interview and I’m just so happy about it. I am beyond grateful for Yellow Tail Tech, they are the best at what they do, I highly recommend Yellow Tail Tech to everyone who wants to have a career in IT.

I found Yellow Tail Tech while looking for an IT training program. My cousin was telling me about how his friend enrolled in an IT Training School and that he just passed the Red Hat exam. I had no experience as a programmer or system administrator, but I wanted to get into the tech field. I searched for different boot camps but only Yellow Tail Tech gave me the right push. The pacing of the program is really great, especially for people like me who work full time during the day. The thing I appreciate about Yellow Tail Tech is that all their classes are taken at night so you can do whatever you want, work, spend time with family, whatever during the day and learn at night. I also like our Slack channel dedicated to our Cohort where we can ask questions, and get immediate feedback, it’s amazing. Our instructors always encourage us to ask questions, anything you couldn’t get the first time, ask and then practice, practice, practice. The motivation from my instructors and my cohort classmates kept me going. Since I am now working as a Linux System Administrator, I want to thank my instructor Allan and my TA’s because the support that they have given me is just 100%. The whole Yellow Tail Tech team is just great.

As I was going through LinkedIn looking for companies that would hire me. I received a messenger from Yellow Tail Tech, it was an ad from them but I just read through it. I loaned money from my parents and enrolled in the program. I had no idea what I was doing and how to get started with Linux but I just took the leap, that’s what Jubee says. I am so lucky that my hard work paid off. I attended all my classes and the review sessions, I asked questions when I couldn’t understand a topic, and when someone also asked a question on our Slack channel I would also give my answer because I know that helping goes a long way plus if my answer is wrong we have teacher assistants and instructors on the channel who could correct me. I would recommend Yellow Tail Tech to anyone who wants to make their career change into something more exciting! I’ve paid off my loan to my parents, I just came from a vacation with them and I’m just glad that right now I’m in a place where I feel so blessed. They made sure we knew exactly what we needed to know before moving on to the next step. I really enjoyed how hands-on it was—you really got a chance to work through each problem and get comfortable with using the tools for your job. The labs were also fun and useful because you got to practice what you learned in class. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants to become an IT Professional and also to people who already know IT but want to dive into Linux. When I started the class I didn’t feel overwhelmed, rather I felt welcomed and that’s one of the things that I also loved about Yellow Tail Tech. They were very honest when it came to saying that we need to work hard to achieve our goals and that’s exactly what I did. I’m so grateful to my instructors - Georges and Riky and the TA’s too, they’ve really helped me become better especially in terms of Linux and answering my questions.
