Read More very beginning like, this week this is what we're gonna do, this coming week this is what we're going to discuss so I’m all for it because it makes me work hard to practice and you know since there’s a designated time for a topic to be finished I know what’s my next step, I know where I’m going. Our instructor was Georges and he really helped us out. There were times when I posted a question on Slack and he replied immediately even though it’s midnight already. The TA’s and instructors are always there to guide us, so I never really felt like I was on my own. The program structure also is very nice. It's built for people with no IT background which is really nice because they’ve kept their promise of helping people with no IT background. I just passed my Red Hat exam and I’m now on my internship part but Yellow Tail Tech is still here. Rob, our Career Success Coach gives us several activities every week, so that’s really nice. There was one time when they had an event about Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and I joined that event because I was feeling kind of down so that really helped me knowing that I’m not the only one experiencing it. Yellow Tail Tech really gives all the support a student needs when it comes to being an IT Professional. I will never regret being a part of this program, and I’m so excited to where I’m gonna be in the future.

Read More I wanted to spend more time with my family, I wanted a work-life balance while earning a lot too. I can’t deny that at first I was scared. It’s like jumping off a cliff. I didn’t know if I would survive or not, but Allan made sure that we understood everything. He would really take the time to answer even the most basic questions I have. I felt secure knowing that I’m in the right program. Everything seems to be working really well. The modules are great, the instructor and teacher assistants are the best, and I’m really blessed to have found this program that helped me get certified within 6 months. I’m really happy that from having a toxic job, I am now a Linux System Administrator and I am confident that in a few weeks, I’ll be able to get a high-paying job too! Trust the process!

Before enrolling at Yellow Tail Tech I was working as a warehouse associate. It's such a very routine job and there are days where I have to go to work on Saturdays and Sundays. Jubee made sure everything was clear from the very beginning he says, you have to really put in the work and I like that because it sounds very genuine to me. My instructor David was really awesome. The class was fun and engaging so we talked and discussed and it’s just learning while having fun at the same time it’s not boring. I’m now about to take my Red Hat exam and I am kind of nervous and excited at the same time but I’m confident really with my skills and with what I have learned. The people at Yellow Tail Tech know what they are doing, from the instructors, TA’s, and we also have a Student Success Coach who we can go to every time we have questions about the whole program so I like that too. Yellow Tail Tech is an amazing IT training school for everyone.

What enticed me about this program is the Tuition Reimbursement Guarantee. Read More all programs should be, right? Not just that, the program structure is really designed professionally. It’s like digesting the right amount of knowledge. It’s not overwhelming and it looks like it’s really designed for people like me with no technical background. The materials are also great. I don’t even have to search for other extra materials outside of the class although the instructors also encourage us too. I think more people should know about this program and I will definitely help spread the word out.

I would advise everybody to go with Yellow Tail instead of going somewhere else, because the way the program is set up, the materials that you have, you have access to them whenever you want to go online, and then you can access them, you can read. So... Read More the way the thing is set up for you guys, you know what I mean, you don't have to go somewhere else. Let's say I know somebody is trying to learn stuff from YouTube, but it's so confusing if you just go on YouTube and watch videos and say, "Hey, I'm going to watch," even though some people in there say, "Okay, I'm doing something." But it's totally different from Yellow Tail Tech. The thing is, it's like they go step-by-step. That's what I like about the program. That's what I like about the materials. And to me, everything is good. Everything is perfect over there. I’ve been really enjoying the program. That's what I said when I first started. I said since day one, I'm enjoying the program and up to now, I'm on top of it.

Read More that’s for sure, you have to know that it’s necessary to put in hard work for this but what I love about Yellow Tail Tech is that from the get go, they don’t really claim it to be easy. I love how real they are. They didn’t overpromise anything that they wouldn’t deliver. I also liked how everyone in the community are high performers. There’s no competition or whatever. We motivate each other to succeed. Some of the cohort leaders even initiate some group studies to help everyone in the class who’s falling behind. It’s like Yellow Tail Tech really took time to evaluate the students and make sure that everyone is serious and motivated to succeed and reach their goals. I can’t be happier with this program and I will recommend this to everyone.

I would say that this is the best program for people like me who are working full-time but wanted to transition into an IT career. The schedule of the live sessions really fit my schedule. I really appreciate that we also have weekend review sessions... Read More so when I have some questions, the teachers really take time to help me out. Aside from that, our instructors are always there. They never made us feel embarrassed to ask any questions. They always answer right away and sometimes even go to the length of calling me on Slack whenever I don’t understand something. It’s just so comforting how hands on they are. I love how 90% of the instructors also came from a non IT background so they are passionate enough about helping us succeed and be like them. I’ve never experienced a program as caring as Yellow Tail Tech is. They really care about us and our success. Kudos to the team!

All I can say is WOW! Yellow Tail Tech really exceeded my expectations. I’ve tried other IT bootcamps out there who promised me that I’ll be an IT professional in 4 weeks but I’ve gained nothing from them. At first I was skeptical because of my previous... Read More experience but then I’ve read a lot of great reviews from their students, I even double checked their students’ LinkedIn profiles if they are legit and once I proved that they are, I immediately signed up. I’m just really amazed how hands on they are with their students especially to someone like me from a non IT background. They are very patient and thorough and I’d like to give a special mention to the most fun instructor ever, David Baker. It wasn’t easy but he made it fun for us. Just like what he always says, practice 100,000 times and you’ll get there. I’m almost done with the program and I can’t put into words how satisfied I am. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Yellow Tail Tech really understands people with no IT background, I’m speaking from experience here. I enrolled in their program called Linux for Jobs and I really don’t have any experience with anything technical about using a laptop besides surfing... Read More the internet and watching Netflix. It’s one of the reasons why I chose to enroll in Yellow Tail Tech because they really emphasize that they’re going to help those people with no IT background. I was working as a salon artist back then specializing in hair and makeup and I just wanted to change. The program was superb. I like how they slowly introduce you to the concepts and we really started with the basics so I really appreciated that. The instructors were also very helpful and engaging, they always encourage us to ask questions, and since we have a dedicated Slack channel I always post my questions there so that really helps. I like that we also have other activities, especially with Rob, our Career Success Coach, so he supervises several events with other students some of whom are not really from the same Cohort as mine so that way we can communicate and network. I really like that. I took the test twice because I wasn’t really that good of a student. I've had days where I procrastinated so that’s why. Since I’m already working now and got 3 offers before that, I am so grateful. Who would’ve thought that from being a salon worker now I am a Linux System Administrator? I am so happy and I owe it all to Yellow Tail Tech. To anyone, who wants to change and start something new Yellow Tail Tech is absolutely for you!
